Huh? The broncos just gave up 2 firsts, 2 seconds, a 5th and 3 players (2 being solid) for Wilson. The Vikings could get a first for cousins with ease, bare minimum. And it’s not even a question. Wilson is definitely better but not that many picks and players better.VikingLord wrote: ↑Tue Mar 08, 2022 3:15 pmI still think it is a pipe dream to think anybody is going to give up serious compensation for Cousins. Could some teams use him and would he be an improvement for them? Sure. Would any team be willing to give up more than a 2nd round pick for that privilege? I doubt it, at least not unless the Vikings eat a substantial portion of his deal for this coming year.IIsweet wrote: ↑Tue Mar 08, 2022 2:17 pm The Denver Broncos are trading Drew Lock, multiple 1st round picks, and players to be named later for Russell Wilson.
This is HUGE news coupled with Aaron Rodgers resigning.
Kirk is now going to be trade target #1 for many teams out there thinking that they are a QB from the SB run !!!
If a team offered a young QB with some experience and multiple 1st round picks, I would be packing his knick knacks for him and sending him on his way !!!
Vikes are stuck with Cousins for now. The question is, do they see Cousins as having a future in Minnesota beyond this coming season? I suspect we'll find out soon enough.
And before you say it, Kirk’s contract doesn’t matter. If anyone traded for him they’d easily extend him. They aren’t going to trade for him as a 1 year $45 million rental. Teams rarely keep a QBs current contract in place when they trade for them. Especially bigger named guys.
