brady, nor peyton, nor eli, nor brees, need all-pro backs... any dime a dozen back can get you 900 yards with the spread offense phenomenom in college, you should never take a runningback in the first round in 2015... at least i wouldnt... you can get a thomas rawls later, and power back with vision will succeed with teddy because teams have to put a spy and account for teddy's legs... teddy is a new age qb, but norv is using him like he is troy aikman lol

teddy won 7 games without ad last year, if we had 7 wins this year we would be bordering on the line of playoffs, plus not to mention our depth with our draft picks that we hit on
Re: Teddy and Adrian Peterson can NOT coexsist in the same B
I mentioned something in another post but this one started to steer right into what I said.
I actually went and watched a handful of Teddy B-water highlight films.
The majority of his highlights came from neither the shotgun nor under center, but from the pistol.
I wonder how AD would do in this formation?
It makes sense, AD gets a couple steps going and the ball deep.
Teddy can begin scanning the field. It opens up the draw. It helps the OL. To me, it may be the way to coexist and have BOTH players put up numbers. The other 2 formations benefit 1 but not the other.
On a side note, I can see us playing a shotgun offense as soon as AD is gone.
Thus playing the NE offense like Brady and co.

AP holding TB back? How about TB holding the "Vikings" back?

Don't hate on my Buckeyes. Some of the best Vikings went to Ohio State.
Including now, HOF WR #80 Cris Carter

So, you won less games last year without AP then you have this year with AP? You don't say.TeddyBaller wrote:

They don't need them you are right, but it certainly makes their teams more dangerous to have one.TeddyBaller wrote:brady, nor peyton, nor eli, nor brees, need all-pro backs... any dime a dozen back can get you 900 yards with the spread offense phenomenom in college, you should never take a runningback in the first round in 2015... at least i wouldnt... you can get a thomas rawls later, and power back with vision will succeed with teddy because teams have to put a spy and account for teddy's legs... teddy is a new age qb, but norv is using him like he is troy aikman lol

The Vikings won 7 games last year and Bridgewater didn't play in one of those wins. The Vikes were 6-6 in games he started, 6-7 in games he played.TeddyBaller wrote: teddy won 7 games without ad last year, if we had 7 wins this year we would be bordering on the line of playoffs, plus not to mention our depth with our draft picks that we hit on

Stop arguing with Teddy's mother. She clearly thinks the reason for her son's struggles is the best RB in the game.Mothman wrote: The Vikings won 7 games last year and Bridgewater didn't play in one of those wins. The Vikes were 6-6 in games he started, 6-7 in games he played.

I wasn't arguing (why bother?), just correcting.PurpleMustReign wrote:Stop arguing with Teddy's mother. She clearly thinks the reason for her son's struggles is the best RB in the game.

i like my rb's who are good in pass pro
Re: Teddy and Adrian Peterson can NOT coexsist in the same B
so much for that theory five touchdowns for teddy today ... 4 pass 1 run
no one expects the Spanish Inquisition!
Re: Teddy and Adrian Peterson can NOT coexsist in the same B
Well, that's a little misleading since 3 of those scores came after AD got injured and played about 20% of the time.jackal wrote:so much for that theory five touchdowns for teddy today ... 4 pass 1 run

Hence, forum battles ensue...
TB and Peterson can't coexist? What? AP in the backfield is always a threat, and teams game plan for him. To say TBs "1" great game today solidifies the idea that AP needs to "gone" is a real stretch. The "team" played well today, not just TB. AP does his part, and he has for years. The Vikes need him, and legs at 30 can still grind it out and leave defenders chasing him. The fumbles, well, enough said.
I'd be more inclined to hope TB has more high performance games than to assume and hope that Peterson is "off" the field. What a notion...
...wisdom ?
