Long story short, Patterson kick TD, Robison defensive, TD, Peterson running them in from 75 yards away, and a defense that's #3, that's right THIRD BEST IN THE LEAGUE with 12 take away's in 4 games (while most teams have played 5) helps even our inept QB situation score points.

Peterson's a part of the offense so why wouldn't his run count toward their scoring total?

If you take away the TDs by Robison and Patterson, the Vikes offense would still be 12th in the league in average points per game, perhaps higher if we also took away any points scored by special teams or defense for the teams ahead of them.

The turnovers help but some other top scoring teams benefit from them too and not every takeaway by the defense puts the offense in particularly advantageous field position.

I quoted a quote that said this specific thing "Odd to see a team with a QB problem as a top-5 scoring offense." That's why I made my response. Of course AD's part of the offense, that's my whole flipping point. More than the Qb can score points jeeze and it certainly helps to start with good field position with the defense helping out when it can! That means it's a TEAM effort! I was just trying to shed some light on the area's that helped get that top 5 rank!

That statement was pure sarcasm. To answer your question and since you are one of a few hard core synics that seem to find fault in most everything there is about the Vikings I will say that I am very disappointed if in fact the Vikings sever ties with Ponder. I wanted to see him get two full seasons to develop but it does not look like that is going to happen. So unlike you and your ilk I will support the organization and it's quarterback ,whether it is Ponder, Cassell, Freeman or whoever can lead this team to a championship. It is sooo easy to sit back and second guess everything and take shots at the coach, gm, owner, players and the fans that hold an optimistic view point isn't it
To each their own and if Freeman is the QB that will take the Vikings to a championship then I hope that they give him the keys to the car. I will be supporting him all the way.
