Do the vikings go right to Freeman or is it Cassel for Carolina while freeman gets up to speed and then open to whoever?

ESPN is on crack then. I just got a text MINUTES ago that the Bills were stepping up to get him. Hard to do if he chose us. Either way, I like it!

But I'm not sure what I think of this other than it's good to have options that aren't Ponder. Seems like a questionable move, but I guess we'll see...something... :confused:

per nfl.com it is just a one year deal. He apparently chose the Vikes among 10 interested teams -

Upgrade over everyone on the roster...which isn't saying much. And young enough to buy us a few years and at least let us be competitive in the mean time. And hopefully keep the front office from reaching for a QB just because Cassel and Ponder are the only ones on the roster. Good short term and possibly longer term signing.
