Lol. Good ole Miami gets taken again. For those of you keeping track, that is 10 years and 91 million dollars contributed to two wide receivers for the Dolphins this offseason.dead_poet wrote:Mike Wallace - WR - Steelers
According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the "league-wide expectation" is that free agent Mike Wallace will sign with the Dolphins.
USA Today reports the Dolphins officially contacted Wallace's agent over the weekend, while SI's Peter King "hears" they don't have "much, if any" big-money competition for the soon-to-be former Steeler. Wallace-to-Miami has become a runaway freight train, but other suitors are still likely to emerge between now and Tuesday's 4ET start of free agency. Few clubs can match Miami's combination of need, money and desperation, however. Rotoworld's own Evan Silva expects Wallace to end up with the Dolphins via a five-year, $60 million deal.

Mike Wallace - WR - Steelers
The Palm Beach Post hears from "someone (it) trusts" that free agent Mike Wallace to Miami is a "done deal."
ESPN, Sports Illustrated and USA Today have all insinuated as such over the past 24 hours, making the evidence that Wallace is planning to take his talents to South Beach overwhelming. Wallace's rep could drag talks out on Tuesday for the sake of squeezing a few extra dimes out of an obviously desperate team, but it doesn't appear anyone else has near the desire level to get a deal done.

If Percy goes, watch the Vikings make a couple HUGE moves. Bring multiple big name FAs to Minny? Gunna have to without percy or we will be right back where we started a year ago. Its always something with the Vikes.

Just saying.....Seems that the Vikes did better than a 3rd round pickPurple bruise wrote:Wow, so over the top it is unrealHarvin has been soooo toxic and I guess we all know that the Vikings would be lucky to even get a 3rd round pick for this dispicable player

The truth is probably closer to that Harvin is one of the best all around offensive weapons in the NFL and he wants to get paid like it. Not one rumor has been substantiated and so none of us have first hand knowledge of anything that has already transpired. Unnamed sources blah blah blah.
If it is true that he does not want to play here and a deal can not be struck to both sides satisfaction, then as I said before trade him. I imagine that the Vikes would do better than a 3rd round pick but lets save this post and see.

It seems as though Harvin was NOT too toxic for at least for the Sea Hawks and they got a lot more than a 3rd round pickDemi wrote: And yet all we hear is how little teams are willing to give up *because* of his demands, along with his other issues. If this was as cut and dry as people want to believe based solely on his talent, there'd be a lot more talk then the occasional third round pick. And the market would be there. The Vikings are stuck, they have a toxic player that every other team in the league knows is toxic, and they have to do their best now to pretend he isn't. Good luck. Either way they get burned.
Guess Childress really was onto something when he took that trip.

The Seahawks are hoping a change of scenery will do him good, which it may.Purple bruise wrote:It seems as though Harvin was NOT too toxic for at least for the Sea Hawks and they got a lot more than a 3rd round pick

PH will thrive there. He has a real QB who isnt afraid to throw the ball, and actually has confidance. Their OC is better then ours, which is hard to believe, but its true. Seahawks are in the SB next year, unless they get nailed by injuries. The Vikes wont be.

Mike Wallace - WR - Dolphins
Dolphins agreed to terms with WR Mike Wallace on a five-year contract that includes $30 million guaranteed.

13 million a year, yeah no thanks!
Re: Vikings vs Dolphins for Wallace?
@adbrandt: Am told $30M guarantee to Mike Wallace is $27M "full" and $3M injury, almost twice full guarantee to Harvin. Striking deal.

Stop the sillyness here... you need a rhombus shape otherwise you go nowhere.dead_poet wrote: What a dumb geometric hair shape. Trapezoid all the way.
