Well, I have not done this since the good old Ponder days. Nice rating Cassel. Quite Ponderish.

He beat his 54 rating last year against the Bengals

I am a Cassel supporter, but not a Cassel homer. I am a Vikings homer, and the day TB starts at quarterback, I'll be fully on board. In north Texas we don't get the Vikings games, and I do not have the NFL package, so I did not see the game. I did read in the game topic that 3 of 4 interceptions were not Cassel's fault, and the offensive line's play was dismal. The "team" was way off today, and the Pats came into town to win. Go Vikes, go coaches, get the team's head straight and look forward. The negativity of the last 24 hours won the game!

I didn't find the 4th INT to be on Asiata, the ball was too hot and right at his face instead of leading him.

I accept his horrible day, and not making excuses...just trying to be positive about the "season." Again, it takes 4-6 games for all teams to know where they stand! Zimmer and the staff will fix this!

Not sure about that. Ravens managed to beat the steelers despite the Rice negativity.

A.P played a way bigger part in our offense than Rice ever did for the Ravens.

Yeah unfortunately we built a franchise around him.

Purplemania wrote: Trust me, the game was 70-75% Cassel's fault. 2 of the INT may not have been on him, but the other 2 were. And as I've said, the guy missed some crucial throws. For example, before half time Vikes were driving, 3rd down, Cassel misfires a pass to Patterson. It would've been 1st and goal with 30 some seconds to go. We end up having to kick a FG, which gets blocked. Just terrible accuracy by Cassel today.

I agree here. I like Cassel and think he will do well, but it seemed like the majority of his passes were just a little off today. Some way off. Bounce back next week.

That first interception really set the tone for Cassel's day today.

I am still giving Cassel the benefit of the doubt. If we lose to New Orleans and Atlanta I think it is fair to pull the plug on Cassel.

I will study the film tonight. I'll post Cassel's numbers against the blitz, and vs pressure, and just a general analysis of his picks and how the offense ran... Hope that I find some points of encouragement. 1st drive was stellar..........

There should be a number, included in this, showing how god awful the Oline played, and how many drops. That being said, he sucked.

Maybe just an asterisk after the rating - 8)

There is a reason why he was traded by NE and released by KC...
