Who didn't see this coming?
Seriously... is anyone even remotely surprised that they lost this game? They outplayed a bad Dallas team and had the game won after the INT. Just another example of the team, as a whole, choking the game away. Like pathetic little losers that they are. Little ####. They are the most pathetic bunch of morons that have ever worn purple.

The Devil whispered in the Viking's ear, "There's a storm coming." The Viking replied, "I am the storm." #SKOL2018

Take a deep breath, relax and think about something other than football for a while.

... and no, I'm not surprised they lost the game but I was surprised it was so close.

Yeah those bastards! Why couldn't they just get blown out? They cost me a win the in the pick4 by losing a close game.

I wasn't surprised either, which is why my mood is apparently better than yours (PMR) right now!Mothman wrote:

I agree w/ Jim; distract yourself with something else. Or if your mind pulls you back to the Purple, focus on the fact that they actually looked like a decent FB team today until that final drive. Jefferson made a nice play on the ball. Ponder completed some nice passes. The guys looked spirited... not a team that's rolled over and quit at all.
Re: Who didn't see this coming?
I expected a loss, but the Vikings played better than I expected.
Most unexpected:
1. The play of the cornerbacks. Not half terrible. Could have used more help from the safeties, as usual, but they looked like they realized for once that the safeties can't be counted on.
2. The play of Ponder. Only half bad, which is a marked improvement. Inconsistent, but with some decent play. Exhibited all the usual problems on about half the plays and then looked like the Ponder who is a real, albeit mediocre, NFL QB on the other half.
3. The play of Adrian Peterson. I don't think the run blocking was any better than usual, but Peterson was hitting the holes and able to string out a few of the runs. Without the 50+ yarder, his YPA was pretty poor, but that's the way it's been for him.

Re: Who didn't see this coming?
Ponder actually played pretty well today. Too bad this game is probably his ceiling. I doubt you ever get a better game from him. If we had a better defense, we would have won over this sub par team. I finally remembered who Ponder reminds me of.....Joey Harrington. Game manager extraordinaire with a similarly weak arm. Joey was much more consistent though.

I'm just surprised at feeling so lousy after a Vikings loss. I thought I was used to it, but I got caught up in this one.

They suck you in every time.....don't they. It was nice to see AD finally stretch his legs though.

Does that mean you finally lost faith in Ponder? Or did he not significantly impact this game in the negative either?Mothman wrote:

We really have become the NFL's version of the Washington Generals -- on our good days.PurpleMustReign wrote:Seriously... is anyone even remotely surprised that they lost this game? For those who have been saying to trade Peterson -- for his sake, not the Vikings' sake -- this was certainly an argument in that direction. It's sad to see a talent like that wasted.

If he wasn't making so much money I would agree.DanAS wrote: We really have become the NFL's version of the Washington Generals -- on our good days.

I 'm not surprised about any of it. They've had a chance to win most of the games they played this year. But it's the same ol' same ol' , give it up in the last 2 minutes.Jeffbleedspurple wrote:I am also surprised the game was that close, they actually had a chance to win and I sure didn't see that coming.
