Colts wanted Gerhart

Post by Raptorman »

Apparently the Colts were looking to trade for Toby Gerhart before they went after Richardson.
Running back Toby Gerhart was reportedly sought after by the Indianapolis Colts before they traded the Browns for Trent Richardson last week.

it would have been for a pretty bad pick and not totally worth it. we dont utilize toby very well at all but id rahter keep him around instead of letting him go for a 5/6

Toby will more likely leave at the end of the year anyway. I am sure there are teams he could be starting on. Like the Packers.

Probably. We'll need all the draft ammo we can get. I still have hope that Spielman can move him. If this Pep Hamilton wanted Toby, maybe another former Stanford coach would be interested as well...?

I'm willing to give Spielman the benefit of the doubt. Maybe their offer sucked.

I gotta agree with this because he'll be gone next year anyways
The Marines I have seen around the world have the cleanest bodies, the filthiest minds, the highest morale, and the lowest morals of any group of animals I have ever seen. Thank God for the United States Marine Corps.

I agree. Gehart will be gone next season anyway. Trading him would've been good for whatever we would have gotten in return.
