Any thoughts on what happens at DE this year? Do we see a trade deadline deal to move one of the older DE's? I dont know how you keep Everson on the bench.
Tom Pelissero: Deadline deals are extremely rare. I think they see how guys hold up, whether they're healthy, etc. You can't have enough pass rushers. Everson's body of work last season wasn't viewed nearly as positively internally as it was by fans, but I do think he's the most likely to get extended, maybe with a two- three-year bridge deal like the one Robison signed a couple years back.

What are the chances there are 6 WR's on the final roster?
Tom Pelissero:
I'd say decent if one of them is Webb and the Vikings decide to keep only 2 QBs. Then again, the Vikings have shown in the past they'll go heavy/light at certain positions because they want to keep the best 53. I believe they kept only 4 WRs at the cutdown in 2010.
I thought this was interesting and something I didn't think of, keep two QBs and an extra WR. Similar to what the Patriots have done in the past.

Tom, you believe that I'm a perfect fit for the purple?

Gut feeling... is Ponder the Vikings starting QB in 2014? Great job as always by the way.

Tom Pelissero:
I've said many times I think he takes a step forward in 2013, provided he's healthy. It's a huge year for him.
I'm pretty much thinking the same about Ponder as Pelissero here, especially about the health aspect.
As I've said before, staying healthy is going to be priority issues for Ponder, Jennings, and Cook. All these guys are important starters and need to show they can finish the season without injury.
Many teams only keep two QBs on the roster and have done so for years. I don't think Webb necessarily plays a part in that decision, although I understand Pelissero's logic. Three QBs plus six WRs is not out of the question. They did it last year.
