Tarkenton 32 Int's in a season! I wonder what year that was? It works out to about 2.28 Int's per game. Man that's awful.

That was in 1978, his 18th and final season. He led the league in passing that year and in passing TDs and INTs. 32 INTs is not good but keep in mind that the rules weren't as favorable to passers back then.

Ken Stabler threw 30 INTs the same season! That's 62 interceptions between two QBs! Mind-boggling by today's standards...

Rush TDs allowed - 1971 - 2....considering the era in which it happened makes it even more impressive. one of the greatest defenses ever.

Ints - 1975 Paul Krause - 10.....38 years and counting, considering we are in a passing era I would hope this one gets broken before long. But lately we are lucky if the whole team can muster that many.

Actually the number is 81 (53 with the Vikings), and it's still the league record. He only missed two games (due to injury) in his 16-year career.

Not sure. '09 Vikes allowed only 5 though.

I agree. Most exciting QB to WR combo to watch during that time. Toss Cris Carter in there and they were even more amazing.

You have a link for the 10 records? I would guess Rice's TD record is on there and maybe Emmit's yardage record. Chamberlain's 100 point game. Nolan Ryan's no-hitters and strikeout records. Cy Youngs 500 wins and some other old timer who won 40 games in a season. Oscar Roberson's triple double mark.

Chamberlain also had a double triple double....22pts 25rbs 21 assists....doubt anyone pulls that off either.

Jared Allen is currently tied with Ted Hendricks and Doug English for career safeties at 4. One more and he will have the record all to himself. Plus all 4 of those safeties have been with the Vikings.

Yeah that was definitely a different era as far as passing goes. Do these sound like Hall of Fame numbers for a QB ... 62-63 record, 50.1 completion %, 27663 yards, 173 TD's, 220 INT, and a 65.5 QB rating? Those numbers belong to Hall of Famer Joe Namath. He once had a game where he went 2 of 18 for 33yds and 3 INT, and another game where he went 4 of 15 for 20yds and 4 INT. To bad for Ponder, he would be putting up HoF numbers if this were the 60's haha.

what a coincidence, every time Culpepper took off to scramble "ruh roh" was the first thought that entered my mind too.
