It's about time Fusco gets benched!

Good move. The hernia at the beginning of the season really held him back but it's great to see he's starting now.

It is about damn time. This guy was a mauler in Carolina and I was very happy we signed him in the offseason.

The guy should have been starting the day he returned from injury.

I would rather see him replace Charlie Johnson at LG

Johnson looks confused at times ...

Sarcasm?

I didn't see any indication from Frazier that Schwartz will be replacing Fusco yet. Even after Sunday's horrible start, Fusco played 30 of 66 snaps against the Bears.

No sarcasm. I thought by the OP that they had declared Schwartz the starter against Green Bay. I didn't read the article as I'm at work but am assuming such a definitive statement hasn't been made?

No, there was no announcement. The article was more in response to the observation that this was the first game where Schwartz played more than Fusco. It still looks like the coaches don't have a clue what they're doing at the position.
With Fusco struggling now late in his first year as a starter, Frazier was asked Monday what's going wrong.

“It’s more the footwork and sometimes getting top heavy,” Frazier said. “[He’s] leaning a little bit too much one way or the other. And he’s just losing some of his fundamentals as an offensive guard. There are some things that technically he’ll get off on at times. And then it creates problems for our offense."
Yes, these are fundamentals, but are they coachable fundamentals? To me, it indicates a basic lack of talent.

uggg... it's like they wanted to experiment with this Fusco guy starting and it clearly hasn't worked out but instead of just giving Schwartz the nod it's like they're trying to ween fusco off before just benching him at the cost of the rest of the team.

Completely disagree with this kind of coaching strategy. Either the guy is the guy and he gets 100% of the snaps while healthy or you realize he isn't the guy and he gets benched. None of this "well he's kind of failing horribly so let's just reduce his snaps a little bit more each week he keeps failing."
