If Webb can get a shot at WR, I don't see why Carter couldn't. It's not like you expect either to make it, but you'd hate to pass on the opportunity.

Hell one of my friends was constant "A" Honors and just one year decided school just wasn't worth it and he dropped out and a year or two later got his GED. For me too, I'm rather intelligent; but any class that I feel is pointless I have less then what you want in GPA. It's just the way I am..idk. So ya, it's defiantly possible his son is that smart.
But apparently he wasnt smart enough or "didn't care" enough that he needed to meet baseline grades to play football in college.

I just looked at some of the highlight tapes of this kid on youtube this morning. He has HANDS just like his father. His videos and the rumors about his poor work ethic doesn't add up. I seen plays where he extends his arm just to get the first down. Did I mention he also has HANDS. Watch his catches, he can one hand catch just like his dad. We dont know much about him but even if he does have attitude problems we have some good leaders in this locker-room to guide him. And with his father being a hall of famer who can also help him, it gets no better than that! I encourage you to look at his highlights and drill videos. Watching them definitely makes the kid worth trying out.

It's so hard for us as fans to watch a few minutes of tape, or to watch some college or preseason pro games and determine a receiver's true talent level. Every year we all see a seemingly good looking young wide receiver who becomes nothing more than a practice squad pinball for his entire career.

I think one thing with Duron Carter that may have given the Vikings' coaching staff reason to pause is that he could have become something of a distraction. There would have been a spotlight on him because of his name that really had little to do with his talent. If he wasn't clearly better in the coaches' eyes than, say, Chris Summers or Rodney Smith, there's just not a lot of reason to subject yourselves to that over a guy fighting for a fifth or sixth receiver spot.

As with any other position, if he really does have the talent to play WR in the NFL, then _someone_ will eventually see it.
