Chris Tomasson ‏@christomasson

I thought he looked pretty decent. You could Just IR Heinicke for the rest of the season. For what he done

Aside from having done nothing but throw interceptions in his brief NFL career, it certainly would be awkward playing on the same team as the guy who ended your college career early by separating your shoulder. Namely, our man Anthony Barr.

If Barkley was signed after a workout, it would give them something to bond over. :)

I dunno. I think if they signed a guy with no TDs and 4 INTs I might want Barr to take him out again.

I'm not saying sign him. I'm saying work him out. They should do the same with Murray.

The way I see it, the Vikings need to heed this wake up call about managing the QB position. Spielman often talks about how they're always trying to get better. I want to see it. After what's happened in this past week, there's no way Hill should be back next year as the primary backup. They need to prepare for the possibility Bridgewater won't be ready to play by next September which means even if they keep Bradford, they have to be thinking about the rest of their QB depth chart. Has Heinicke shown enough to be the #2 going into training camp 2017? Will they draft a QB, sign a free agent during the offseason or is there a guy out there that might be worth developing now?

I just want to see them become very proactive about this position. By next summer, I'd rather see them in the position the Chiefs were in this year, where they had too many QBs and needed to decide who to cut, rather than the position they ended up in this year, with doorkicker hurt, Bridgewater out, Stave not ready and Hill too old to inspire confidence.

I think they're comfortable with Heineke, who has shown more than Barkley has. Murray wouldn't want to sign here anyway with the mess we have. There's no time to compare to Heineke, who is a few weeks away.

I really doubt Stave will ever be ready.
