Or we'll just have the best offensive outing we had all year when AP was hurt against the Eagles. Losing a RB, even one as great as AD just isn't that big of a deal. It hurst of course but life goes on without AD, as we saw last year, it certainly doesn't without Rodgers.Texas Vike wrote: McKinnon will come in and break the rushing record that AD couldn't quite do two years ago.

The Lions won't ever get it right and Calvin isn't getting younger. The Bears still have a mistake-prone Cutler and have started from scratch on defense and are still behind Minnesota in that respect. Green Bay is gonna have to pay Cobb and/or Jordy next year (they've lost a lot of playmaking receivers over the years already) and that defense still isn't anything great. These things are cyclical. Minnesota got next. Book it!Eli wrote: There's nothing other than potential on which to base that assertion.
And after the Vikings offense is on par with the other three teams in the division (well, potentially), then what? The Vikings' defense is as bad as any of them. That will all change, of course, as it always does. But try to remember that those other teams are trying to improve in exactly the same way that the Vikings are.

Having a good RB matters a lot when you're winning. You can stay ahead more easily while controlling the ball with a good running game and an effective passing game sprinkled in.mondry wrote: Or we'll just have the best offensive outing we had all year when AP was hurt against the Eagles. I think we do that as long as Ponder doesn't start this year. Any combination of Bridgewater-cassel can get us to the playoffs and maybe even win one.CodeRedCards wrote:As the off season moves on and the qb's compete Bridgewater will impress I'm telling you guy's this kid is the real deal I think we make playoff's this year. I even think we win a game or 2 in the playoff's

New coaching staff, unresolved QB situation, playing in a temporary setting at for home games, coming off a season in which they had major problems on defense... as fans we can be optimistic but that's not a combination of factors that typically leads to success so it's not hard to see why the oddsmakers would view the Vikes that way. Hopefully, they will defy expectations.PurpleMustReign wrote: Wow... I can't believe we r last... Lower than Tampa or Detroit.
A quick Google search yielded this:fiestavike wrote:Good time to lay some money on the Vikes. Anyone know what the actual odds are for them making the NFCC game?
I am placing 3 bets on the Vikings this year. I will bet 100 to win the NFC North, a 100 too win the NFC Championship and 100 to win the SuperBowl. As far fetched as this is, even if they can win the North, I cover my investment and if they go to the Super Bowl and win it my 300 dollars turns into several thousands. I can easily afford the 300, which I normally would spend gambling in Vegas for a weekend.fiestavike wrote: hmm, ya, the odds of winning the NFCC game and the odds of getting there are radically different for the Vikings in my opinion! I've never been alive to see them actually win an NFCC! But if it was 60-1 to get there, I would lay $10.
