Surprised at everyone's reactions. Was hoping to get a taller more lanky CB like DMR or Cromartie. Munnerlyn Doesn't seem to match the type of WR we face in our division.

I love his first name. Makes me think of Fred "Captain" Smoot.

See, I was #### and moaning in other threads, and we finally sign a decent CB, ready to play. It pays off.

And suddenly, the Vikings' secondary doesn't look so bad, the DL looks as good as I've seen it in years, and a couple of tweaks could put the LB corps over the top. Great FA class that can only get better.

Another note. There's NO way I see Frazier doing this well in the off season.
 It's not like he had the reins. Spielman's been the GM, and in charge of personnel, for the past two years. Heck, Frazier is probably in Florida wondering where this help was last year. I'm sure he would have loved to have a young up-and-comer like Joseph over Guion and I have no doubt he would have liked Spielman to add some veteran CB help last offseason after cutting Winfield.

Oh, I agree. There was a disconnect between the two, that's for sure.
A successful coach needs a patient wife, loyal dog, and great quarterback - and not necessarily in that order.

There are lots of differences between this offseason so far and last offseason. Different players are available. The team is probably viewing it's needs differently. Contracts have expired. If I'm not mistaken, they have quite a bit more cap room. The cap itself is higher.

They didn't do badly in free agency last year. They re-signed Loadholt and Felton (both considered key players) and added Jennings and Cassel.

Anyway, my point is that Spielman is the one in charge. The coaches undoubtedly have input but the offseason is his show, far more more than anybody else's.

Yeah, I think that's clear.

Frazier thought the roster just needed some warm words encouragement. Some nurture, you know. So I doubt he'd be pushing very hard for changes in personnel. Zimmer knows better.

That's a long list and a waste of time!
