I believe all three of these guys own the respective NFL records as well. Golden Age of Vikings football, indeed. Hope the current iteration of the Vikings improves on the past!!

What I think is interesting is when the Vikings had arguably their best statistical play from QB (2004) they went 8-8.

Detroit had a ton of passing yards last year but they couldn't score and turnovers and penalties killed them..

Personally i think Detroit is more talented than the bears are

Impressive! Let's hope this continues. I wonder what the longest consecutive streak of 50 yarders made regardless of season is. Walsh in 10 and counting... maybe he already has it.

Namath also threw for 4,007 yards in 1967, an absolutely astounding total for that era. He averaged 15.5 yards per completion that year, 16.8 the next year, and 17.4 in 1972. By comparison, Drew Brees threw for 5,476 yards in 2011, but only averaged 11.7 yards per completion.

Far more importantly, Namath guaranteed a win against 17-point favorite Baltimore in Super Bowl III, then went out and beat them. He almost single-handedly put the AFL on the map and paved the way for football as we know it today.

Before you diss a man like Joe Namath, you ought to check your history. Say what you want about stats ... Joe Namath is the very essence of a Hall of Famer.
