I wanted to trade back but I am not sure I like this. We do have 4 3rds and 4 4ths now.
We have the dumbest GM in the business.
Gmen get a future first to move back less spaces, we get two thirds and gave up a fourth
We could have and should have gotten a 2nd from this. Can't wait to see people spin this as a great move.

If Jalen falls to #23 and Vikings select him, I think I would be okay with it since it would be a steal if he can stay healthy

Parsons and Slater going right before was brutal. Good thing we won those meaningless games.

Now we get to watch 50 pick Rick throw darts at the board for another year.

I can not complain, they can use it to move up in the 2nd round
Why not trade for a 2nd rounder?
Because the jets pick 2nd in the 2nd round. That’s like practically getting another first

I heard someone on the radio today saying that a GM told him they have 18 players with first round grades. If that's accurate, then Vikings trade out of a spot where they can get a quality player.

Why would you take two 3rds as compensation. We already have about 300 draft picks. The same crap we did last season and netted nothing from all those extra picks.

I like the trade. You can get a player at 23 as good if not better than AVT.

They'll probably take Phillips anyway. It's really annoying they had the most versatile lineman in the draft and the best D player in the draft sitting there and they didn't move. But it is what it is.

Because it gives them ammo to move up into the 2nd. Not just once but multiple times if they really want to. Like let’s see who they actually draft at 23 before you jump off a cliff

Only good thing is this will be Rick's last draft. You can't get a second for dropping that far?

Unless Phillips is gone before #23 then it is probably Payne or offensive tackle? I do want Ronnie Perkins bad though
