Cornerback position is crazy deep now.

I’m guessing Hughes either isn’t healthy or won’t be around on opening day

Our patience is being rewarded. The pieces are falling together nicely going into the draft. I wouldn’t rule out a trade that will catch us all by surprise. :D

Are you thinking Penei Sewell? I think they'd have to get up to 4.

One things for certain Speilman and Zim are feeling some heat. I give them credit they are stacking the roster. Every rock is being kicked over. You can't even guess what is next. Another FA or trade. There's still holes but we will go in with some. Every team does.

Spectacular news. Mackensie is an incredible slot corner and he knows the system.

Zimmer really took the bad defense personally.

I'm stoked I was hoping to see if we could of gotten Rhodes back but we got enough depth. Safe to say we wont be drafting a cornerback this year.

I also have been wondering about Hughes. May also simply be recognizing just how bad the depth was last year.

Another thought I had was Vikings employing a defense somewhat mindful of what the Patriots did several years ago of using extra DBs in virtually every situation

what is the knock on Mack? I never thought he was great, and maybe I am missing something as I'm certainly no expert on NFL corners.....but I always thought he was a very solid slot CB? Does everyone else agree or am I too optimistic?

I was surprised he only got 1 year $4M last year, and am surprised he's only getting 1 year vet minimum this year.

He should. His D was one of the biggest jokes ever in our history. He's is a defensive genius supposedly. This Mac guy played good for us in the slot from what I remember. But there's a reason teams weren't chasing him. And a reason why we let him take him game out of town.

I think Hughes is gone unless they keep him for depth
