If this team has top end potential, the defense sure didnt show it today given they couldnt stop a backup QB when it mattered. I'm not sure why our QB is the one that limited this team today. If our defense held them when it mattered and didnt give up points after points and we lost, maybe you have an argument but that didnt happen today and Kirk Cousins didnt "hold this team back" today. If anything, he kept us in the game. Our defense failed us today. We shouldnt be allowing Matt Moore to score 26 points on us. Period
I'm not saying he's the only reason we lost today. I explicitly said the opposite up stream. Still, if he played competently, this team would likely have won today. He didnt play competently.
Sorry but any QB that throws 3 TDs when it matters and not in garbage time and consistently put his team ahead, played competently. That usually means something else went wrong...and it did.

I think that level of analysis speaks for itself. I have no further response.

Thought about this game a little more and it actually proved to me that Kirk can be clutch when we need him to be. Away game, down on and off all game, 3 TDs all from behind, 2 TDs on 3rd down.

It also unfortunately confirmed that our defense is trash in the clutch especially Zimmer. We could legitimately get better production out of all of our defensive talent from practically ANY coach.

No clock awareness at the end of the half.
No clock awareness at the end of the game.
Just flat out had no idea how to use his timeouts and give us the best chance to score/win.
Also - any coach that doesn't know they aren't going to overturn PI on a coach's challenge at this point in the season is an absolute moron.

Good news is Detroit and Green Bay are about to lose today. Bears already lost. Maybe that makes this loss hurt more? I don't know.

Lol ok sorry my level of analysis isn’t up to your standards. I’ve said before that he had his moments that were bad plays, but he isn’t the one that held us back today. You already have your set opinion on cousins so you fall into that category of no matter when or how we lose, he’s gonna be the main one to blame, he’s gonna be the one that “held us back”, etc. That group of fans aren’t hard to find. You see it on here, social media, etc. For you to think he held us back today just baffles me. But when you already have your mind made up well ahead of the game or season for that matter, you’re going to believe it no matter what happens

Aaron Rodgers just surpassed 100 passing yards and threw his first TD with 6 minutes to go in the 4th and GB is getting smoked. Must mean Rodgers didn’t play competently today....

In a way, it was opposite day for a typical Cousins game. He was oddly inaccurate with short passes on 1st and 2nd down but was clutch on 3rd down. Typically the knock is he pads his stats when it's easy. Today was the opposite. Proved a lot to me today actually.

Exactly but for some guys to see that is like pulling teeth. They see a loss and they see cousins. They put the 2 together. Every. Single. Time. No matter what happened or the circumstances. KC couldn’t hold a lead today to save their lives because of cousins. But I guess he limited this team today even though the defense gave up 26 points to a guy that wasn’t even in the league at the beginning of the year

Vikings beat themselves on both sides of the ball. But hey at least the Packers lost, am I right?

I think you are either being purposefully obtuse or just can't get past your man crush on Cousins to see his point.

It isn't that Cousins was bad or 100% to blame. It is that yet again, against good competition when we needed him to step up, he didnt. Again.

If I had a “man crush” on him, I wouldn’t be pointing out his mistakes. I did that more than once. But there were much bigger problems today. The problem wasn’t Kirk cousins. Like I’ve said 10 times, if it wasn’t for cousins, we wouldn’t have been in the game at all. He answered time after time when KC went up. If you get past your hate for him, maybe you’d see that.

Watching Seattle right now. If the Vikings had RW, they would probably be undefeated right now, and SB contenders

I agree this loss wasn't on Cousins...But how many plays did Kirk make in the 4th to win it when he had the chance....

Without going back and reading every post again, I don't remember seeing anyone blaming Cousins solely for this loss. We saw the good and the bad in Cousins, our defense, our special teams, and our coaching today. If anyone of those would have reversed one or two of the bad, then we may have won. My opinion hasn't changed. We have championship level receivers, and running backs. We don't have championship level QB, defense or special teams. (or probably coaching either) And that's not based on this one game. That's based on all the games this season to date.

The next stiff we play he'll look like the next great one again. I give our team credit. They played hard and hung in there. KC isn't a push over and there coaching is pretty solid.

Yup. I can't believe he gave up 41 yards to Hill that led to a field goal.
or a 40 yard TD pass.
or a 91 yards run for a TD.
or a 30 yards pass to Hill that leads to an another FG.

Man Cousins sucks. 4 plays, 201 yards, that lead to 4 scores. And people are #### about Cousins. Not to mention the 2 first downs called back on offensive line penalties. 3 Td's, 0 interceptions, and 0 fumbles. Incompetence. What do you consider competent?
