That’s not what they are doing. Free agency doesn’t start until WednesdayStumpHunter wrote: ↑Sun Mar 10, 2019 7:06 pmI am talking about the cuts more than re-signings. Waiting to cut a guy until after teams have spent all their cap shouldn't be something the Vikings do to guys like Griffen and Sendejo.Pondering Her Percy wrote: ↑Sun Mar 10, 2019 6:12 pm
It’s the same thing every year. Spielman always waits until the week of to make moves. I remember when we resigned loadholt, it was literally announced 20 minutes before FA opened. He always waits. Moves will happen before Wednesday. The negotiation period starts tomorrow. It gives us a better idea of where the market of some of our in house guys will be

I could totally see Slick Rick trading one of them and then drafting a CB in first round.Pondering Her Percy wrote: ↑Mon Mar 11, 2019 1:10 pm Multiple teams have called about the availability of Xavier Rhodes and Trae Waynes today

I'd rather trade Rhodes. They can get more for him and he's reached his peak. Trade him to an AFC team though.Pondering Her Percy wrote: ↑Mon Mar 11, 2019 1:10 pm Multiple teams have called about the availability of Xavier Rhodes and Trae Waynes today
The Devil whispered in the Viking's ear, "There's a storm coming." The Viking replied, "I am the storm." #SKOL2018

I agree, hate to see a awesome Viking go but if it could help other areas for the team their its best to do it.PurpleMustReign wrote: ↑Mon Mar 11, 2019 6:29 pmI'd rather trade Rhodes. With the 18th pick in the 2019 NFL draft, the Minnesota Vikings select.... Devin Bush, LB, Michigan. The Tennessee Titans are on the clock.
Re: Vikings In-House Free Agents and Cut/Trade Tracker
Suppose to sign a 3 year deal with the Browns when FA starts Wednesday.

Same here! It sucks losing Richardson but Stephen is a much better run stopper and much cheaper. Richardson was definitely a better pass rusher but as long as Griff is back to form and we can get a guy like Tom Johnson back as a pass rusher, I like this DL right now.

We were rumored to be very interested in G/T Ja'wuan James. However, Denver just signed him to a mega-deal and grossly overpaid. James is your classic, average offensive lineman. Some of these teams are just overpaying players out the as* right now. Especially teams like the Jets and Raiders. And history shows us, that overspending in free agency....hardly ever works. Looks good on paper, but doesnt work out very often.

Re: Vikings In-House Free Agents and Cut/Trade Tracker
I would be okay with that. They need 2-3 starters on the Oline though (Elf was pretty bad last season), and it doesn't look like that will happen in FAs. That means they NEED at least one of their Oline picks to start day 1, probably two of them if they want to get better on offense. Using their 1st on a LBer drastically reduces the chances of that happening.
Also, they desperately need depth on Dline. It looks like Griffen might be sticking around this season, but next year he will be too expensive. Weatherly is not the answer or Griffen would be gone. That means not only do they need to replace the now departed Richardson in the draft, but they need to find a guy to groom behind Hunter and Griffen. Arguably, Joseph might be too expensive next season as well.
So many holes to fill...
