We need a young guy full of confidence. Having the booming legs Walsh had (has) isnt any good when the confidence is show.

Was just watching the game highlights (to make myself even more mad) and during the play where Walsh's kicked was blocked, this guys attempt at a tackle or strip or whatever you call it was absolutely pitiful. I actually laughed out loud. Time for a change at the kicker position, he's not who he used to be, and he's not making any case to keep him in Minny. Hopefully the kickers we try out this week impress..
It's a great day to be great

Time for Walsh to go. Sucks to say cause I like the guy, but, it is time.
That being said, the NFL market for kickers is not exactly stellar. Moreover, the guys we want to bring in don't exactly inspire much confidence.

Right now Im at the same point with AD as I was with Ponder where we finally let him go. He has past his time with the Vikings. Its time to move on. I dont want to end up hating Walsh like I do Ponder.

I'm thinking the same thing at this point.
Who knows? Zimmer said he's bringing in guys. Maybe someone will look good.

I think what really ticked Zimmer off, was Walsh kicking it into the end zone when he was told not to.

Looks like at least these 3 guys are here
Darren Wolfson @DWolfsonKSTP 1h1 hour ago
Many of us reported the Bullock and Forbath tryouts at the same time. In case I didn't hammer home, Zach Hocker here too to tryout. #vikings

Here is an article about the 4 kickers that were brought in.
http://www.dailynorseman.com/2016/11/8/ ... orking-out
The team brought in four different kickers. Here’s a brief look at each of them:
Randy Bullock, who has kicked for the Houston Texans, New York Jets, and New York Giants. For his career, he’s an 80.6% field goal kicker (75-for-93)
Kai Forbath, who has played for the Washington Redskins and the New Orleans Saints. He is an 84.1% kicker for his career (69-for-82).
Zach Hocker, who is the least experienced of the group with just eight NFL games under his belt. He has played for the Saints and Rams, and has hit 10-of-14 career field goal attempts.
Travis Coons, who has just one NFL season to his name, and was actually very good last season for the Cleveland Browns. He hit 28-of-32 field goal attempts last year, a rate of 87.5%.

Anyone know why Cleveland dropped Coons? 28 of 32 FG and 22 of 24 XP doesn't seem bad at all.

Gee what a surprise...well the next time Walsh misses they will at least have a list of kickers that worked out for them.
