Re: Options at QB
The best option would be to trade for a player Matt Moore would be my top choice, but I have no idea what it would cost us
Maybe, wait to see if any QB's we might want pop us under the 53 cut.. I have little or no faith in Hill and don't know why we kept
him after last season. When he came in for Teddy he looked weak and slow.

How would trading away a draft pick for another mediocre QB that would have to spend 4-6 weeks learning the system be the best option?jackal wrote:The best option would be to trade for a player Matt Moore would be my top choice, but I have no idea what it would cost us

Especially Matt Moore.... I would rather have Vick who could come in cheap without giving anything up. He would sit behind Hill, learn the offense and get ready in case they need him.

For those wondering, I'm told there's no truth to the rumor Michael Vick is visiting the #Vikings today

thank god. i hope vick isn't a serious option. he looked horrible with the steelers last year, and even when he was good he was an average passer at best.
Re: Options at QB
There are a lot of teams out there with 3 or 4 QB's on their roster in fact 2 teams with 5.
The question is...will a lot of them teams only go with 2 QB's
I think we wait until Saturday and see who's out there. Not unless they have somebody they want to give a pick for just to ensure we get them.

I think he looked significantly less horrible then Shaun Hill is goona look.slapnut19 wrote:thank god. i hope vick isn't a serious option. he looked horrible with the steelers last year, and even when he was good he was an average passer at best.
Average passer at best is ok considering Bridgewater was an average passer at best.

Re: Options at QB
The article I read made the person who reported the rumor as some kind of guy who doesn't make things up and is in the know. It will be interesting if it is not true what he says. He's like that Hassan idiot. Remember all of the rumors and news tips when AD was suspended?dead_poet wrote:Via Krammer:

Even if the rumor of him visiting on a specific day is wrong, I still feel very confident that the Vikes brass will do their due dillegence in regard to Vick.PurpleMustReign wrote: The article I read made the person who reported the rumor as some kind of guy who doesn't make things up and is in the know. Vicks ship sailed awhile ago. He is a shell of himself and only a mid to low level backup.Jordysghost wrote:

I think your going to see the Vikes pick up somebody we haven't even talked about to much.

I disagree, I think Vick still has one or two good seasons left in him, I also think a broken down Vick running on empty would still be better then Shaun Hill.halfgiz wrote: Vicks ship sailed awhile ago. He is a shell of himself and only a mid to low level backup.

Well if he was that good he wouldn't be out of work.Jordysghost wrote: I disagree, I think Vick still has one or two good seasons left in him, I also think a broken down Vick running on empty would still be better then Shaun Hill.
After Saturday there will be better QB's available.

That is a very crass and oversimplified way of puting things.halfgiz wrote: Well if he was that good he wouldn't be out of work.

He did have work and when his contract was up he was left waiting for a situation to come available, most teams already had their veteran backup in place and had no need for Vick, I am still very confident he is just an all around better player then Shaun Hill.
Maybe there will be, we will see.
