But if they trade for a quarterback then the cap cushion may be a of use.
Mettenberger or Yates seem like the best options in FA. I'd see how much the Bengals would need in return for McCarron.

Interesting how our perspectives vary, as Mettenberger and Yates are the last options I would consider.

Bridgewater, Mettenberger and McCarron were all the only 3 guys I wanted out of that draft for the Vikes at QB, so I'm not opposed, but Mettenberger hasn't shown much in his time and he did have some chances in Tennessee.

I don't want Mettenberger. Mccarron, yes. Mett couldn't latch on with SD who has god knows what as a backup

What about Nick Foles? KC has 5 quarterbacks on their roster, he may be cut?

I heard Mike Vick is working out for the Vikes tomorrow. Maybe he and Hill can combine to give us 16 games cause I doubt either of them stay healthy the whole year.

How did Vick do last year? I didn't pay mucha attention to Pittsburgh.

Only played in a few games. 2:1 TD:INT. But hes able to escape pressure and still sling it. I hope if we sign him he grasps the offense quick

Lol no not really saying that. It's just I want somebody mobile. Especially with a questionable OL. Does anyone have any more word on this Vick rumor? Is it legit or no?

I think pocket presence is more essential than mobility. So far in the preseason the center of the line seems to be holding up acceptably well. I honestly haven't watched Vick closely in years, but I don't think his mobility will help him all that much without better pocket presence.

I haven't watched much of Vick for the past three years or so, but when I have seen him, he seemed more poised in the pocket. Like, he still has the speed to run, but he's old and he doesn't really *want* to run unless it's too good of an opportunity to pass up. I've been more disappointed with his ability to read downfield.
