They are staying with Hill. No name being thrown out there is likely to replace him at least for the first 4+ games. It's about having a guy to come in if Hill goes down or to push him later in the season. McCown is a fine backup, which is all the Vikings are going to find.

All jokes aside this team has three options. Option 1, do nothing. Keep hill as the starter and have his body give out by week 7. Option two, throw stave to the wolves and see what he can do. The good thing is the limited tape anyone has on him.he is young and can sling it. Or option three, half of option one, get a guy via trade and hope he's ready by week four. My choices would be Murray from KC or Mike Glennon, get this Sanchez and mccown nonsense out of your heads lol

If they're going to make a trade, it doesn't make much sense to me to trade for an old journeyman player like McCown or to trade for descending players like Kaepernick or Sanchez. If they trade, I'd rather see them pick up a young player with more growth potential like Murray or McCarron (if they could get him).

Statement from Vikings Director of Sports Medicine and Head Athletic Trainer Eric Sugarman on Teddy Bridgewater:

Teddy Bridgewater suffered a non-contact injury today at practice. The injury was quickly identified as a dislocated knee. The injury was stabilized, and he was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment and evaluation. After undergoing an MRI, it was determined that Teddy suffered a complete tear to his ACL and other structural damage. Fortunately, there appears to be no nerve or arterial damage. Surgical repair will be scheduled within the next few days. Although the recovery time will be significant, we expect Teddy to make a full recovery. I would like to thank all of the medical professionals and our athletic training staff for all of their help today. Teddy has already displayed the attitude needed to overcome this injury and attack his rehab.

So the initial impression re Teddy's injury is "screwed this year but probably not forever." Which in context is pretty good news.

Idk how often people trade away young potential laden QBs, unless there situation leaves them with both a good starter and backup.

Not trying to be harsh but Bridgewater will probably be easier to replace then alot of QBs, I know he is the QB but I still think you'd rather it be him then AD.
