The Vikings have signed Augustana RB C.J. Ham, who participated in last weekend's rookie minicamp, to the 90-man roster. To make room the club has waived S John Lowdermilk.

That college is in my hometown.

One of my really good friends who played for a different team in that division said C.J. Ham dominated their defense all game this past season.

Vikings sign a LT with two years of NFL experience and a free agent LB with almost no hope of making the team.

Actually it looks like Willingham has some talent. But I agree that he probably has a slim chance of making it.
Hickey has made his rounds...they bringing him in for a camp body? Supposedly he plays both tackle spots
Going to be an interesting TC...

DP what do you have on both of them?

On Hickey, the report on him is his upper body strength (38 reps of 225 at the combine), run blocking, big hands but short arms and limited athleticism. Not particularly violent or strong hands. Lacks core strength despite above-average upper-body. Plays high and loses leverage often when allowing defenders to get into his chest. There was a general consensus he probably needed to be put at guard in the pros due to pass protection limitations. He's 6'6/306. Length limitations + athleticism limitations isn't a great combination for a tackle. From the sounds of it I'd prefer him at guard or deeeep RT depth. He's probably a long shot to make the roster.

On Willingham, I have no idea. There's not a ton out there on him. He didn't do much. Started at least part time his last three seasons and lettered all four years … injuries caused him to miss 12 games in his career. He didn't start a ton of games (4 in 2015, 4 in 2014, 10 in 2013). When he started/played 10 games in 2013 he received Honorable mention All-Pac-12 and finished second on the team in total tackles (81) and tackles per game (8.1) despite missing the first two games due to injury. That year he was sixth in the Pac-12 in tackles per game (8.1), 5.0 TFL (1.0 sack) and had four double-figure tackle games. He was Fanspeak.com's 127th-ranked "Top UDFA" list. There might be something there that was wrecked a bit by injuries the last couple of years of college. I doubt it makes the team. He goes 6'2/245.

@JReidDraftScout The Vikings/Foles connection isn't with Norv, it's with Pat Shurmur. He was with him when he threw 27 TDs/2 INTs in '13 w/the Eagles.

Are they trying to sign him? It would be a great move, because he could conceivably be a good option if Teddy doesn't pan out.

It'd better not come to that

Nick Foles laying low for a few days. #Vikings said to be doing their due-diligence, like 10ish other teams. Nothing is close to happening.
