HUGE improvement... why did Foles get released?halfgiz wrote:Foles got released today...Shurmur was his offense coordinator for the Eagles when he had the big year.
Foles would be an improvement over Hill.

The Devil whispered in the Viking's ear, "There's a storm coming." The Viking replied, "I am the storm." #SKOL2018

LA Rams moved up to the # 1 pick in the draft and selected a QB.PurpleMustReign wrote: HUGE improvement... why did Foles get released?
Foles then stated he wanted released by the Rams. They then tried to trade him, which didn't work out so today they released him.
I doubt this late in the season he would get a starting job.

Jason Cole on TwitterTraveling, unsure if this is out there: 1. Source said Foles likely to #Vikings, #Bills or #Cowboys. 2. #Jets expressed interest in Foles

Interesting. I'd love to have him as an massive upgrade should something happen to teddy...but I dread all the rubes starting an immediate QB controversy.dead_poet wrote: Jason Cole on Twitter

I agree on the controversy. As it stands now nobody wants to see Hill come in.fiestavike wrote:

Rick probably wouldn't want anybody being a threat to Teddy.

I would love to see us sign Foles. That's a massive upgrade over Hill. I don't see any kind of controversy if we signed him. It's Teddy's team.fiestavike wrote: Interesting. I heard that Foles is only looking for 1-2 year deal as a backup.
With Heinicke showing up to camp in cast does that really open the door for Fole's being signed?

I thik at least 40 percent of the fanbase would immediately proclaim that Foles should be starting. Should Foles have a good preseason game or Teddy a bad one, that number would jump to 50-60 percent.Pondering Her Percy wrote:It's Teddy's team.

Are you really trying to imply they don't go hand in hand? Oh gosh Fiesta..fiestavike wrote: you mean their stats or their production?

Of course there is a correlation. I think by 'hand in hand' you mean they are one and the same.Jordysghost wrote: Are you really trying to imply they don't go hand in hand? Oh gosh Fiesta..

No, i have stated several times that I realize stats are contextual, but you seem to think they don't matter at all.fiestavike wrote: Of course there is a correlation. I think by 'hand in hand' you mean they are one and the same.

You keep stating you realize stats are contextual, but as you employ them, thats very unclear.Jordysghost wrote:

Suffice it to say, this is precisely why I would be slightly conflicted about signing Foles. I really can't think of anything more irritating than a bombardment of posts telling us to "look at the stats", and that Foles should be starting...except perhaps watching Shaun Hill start half the season...
