I just heard the Vikings drafted the Kentrell brothers. Nice! They get two players for the price of one.

He's started 40 straight games over the last three seasons and is a very durable player.
The #Vikings got another good value pick in Brothers. Considered a second rounder and fell to the 5th. Should contribute on ST early.
New #Vikings LB Kentrell Brothers (6-0, 245) was credited with three blocked kicks on special teams last fall
Brothers had 46 run stops in 2014. It took less than 7 games to surpass that total in 2015 (81).

Wouldn't be surprised to see Brothers slide into MLB and Kendricks bump weak side. #Vikings have options now with Lamur, Brothers, etc.

I like this Brothers pick much more than that Beavers pick.

Jamaal Stephenson, director of #Vikings scouting. Sounds like Beavers will play G and T, Brothers at MLB.

Watched a couple. Looks like he has good instincts. Always around the ball and making plays.

Stephenson: "We also added Kentrell Brothers...he's a MIKE backer, he's very productive, he's going to add depth for us."

Jamaal Stephenson said Brothers is undersized at 6-foot but he really has nose for the ball. Might be 2-down LB but good on special teams.

So how late, if at all, would it be worth taking a risk with Boehringer? I remember there being some chatter about the Vikings really liking his raw talents and thought they might be able to get him as an UDFA. Then other teams started showing interest and it was starting to look like he might actually get picked somewhere.

The Vikings clearly have the edge in UDFA but he's highly likely a practice squad guy. I could see a team using a late round flier on him.

Looking at how the board has played out, I am actually very glad the Vikings made that trade last night. No player I truly wanted went after we picked (hell, no player I really, really wanted went until we were on the clock again).

I agree and now that gives us two 3rd's and two 4th's next year. That gives us a lot of options if we want to move around.

Spielman said if Miami gets a compensatory 3rd rounder, then we get that one. If they don't, we get their actual 3rd. So we all have to root for them to not get a compensatory pick in the third next year. They very well could losing Vernon though
