Austin Sheppard would go first. Or Carter Bykwoski.

Nah. You rarely cut a second-year guy (especially a 4th rounder). One of the other guys (Sirles?) will be cut first

Meh on Beavers. Looks like a guard project.

Willie Beavers is 6-5, 321 pounds. He's a very aggressive guy with a thick lower base and powerful base.

Was rated the No. 16 tackle available by draft analyst Dane Brugler.

PFF was not kind to him

Where is Jim?!

Apparently Willie Beavers was dead last in PFF's rankings for offensive tackles!

NFL channel just ignored the pick, didn't say ONE FREKIN word about it, on to the next pick. Last night they did the same when we traded out of the third round. NOT ONE #### word about the Vikings trading out, they just took our name out and moved on to the next pick without ANY explanation. I HATE the NFL channel's BIAS against us :soap

"Beavers is very athletic with the feet to play left tackle, but has the talent and traits to play all over the offensive line with more technique work. While he clearly has some power and twitch in his hips, he could use a year in an NFL weight room to strengthen his core and upper body. Beavers is an eventual NFL starter who is likely to be targeted by teams who covet tackles who can excel in space." – Lance Zierlein, NFL.com
Beavers is a nice looking prospect with all of the physical tools you look for in a left tackle. He had a good outing against Michigan State and more than held his own against star defensive end Shilique Calhoun. Beavers just has to fine-tune his game and play with better technique. He will come to the NFL with loads of experience after being a three-year starter at Western Michigan." – Jamie Newberg, CBSSports.com

Looks like he was projected for the 3rd (NFL, CBS Sports), so looks like good value.

I'm glad we went for an O lineman.

Something seems fishy with Billings' drop.
