Yeah, we are nowhere near set at WR. Our WR core is a question mark at best. We have no #1 WR yet and there's no guarantee that the Vikings will go WR in the 1st round. No is it a guarantee that a WR he draft will pan out. Regardless of what happens, we don't have a leader in that WR core, Jennings will be it. Like Greenway is for our LB core, because I doubt he has much left in the tank himself but everyone wants to see him for one more season. I still think Jennings can contribute to the team, just not at that ridiculous price we gave him the 1st time. He's a system player no doubt. That's why I think Miami was just a bad fit for him, just like Wallace was a bad fit here. But he and Teddy had way more chemistry. All we missed that season was Peterson to run the rock. We never got a chance to see the Teddy, Jennings, and Peterson trio. Add Diggs to the mix and I think we have a decent WR core.

Actually, that's a good idea. Jennings is a football savvy guy who could probably educate the WRs on the team.

Jennings had rapport with Teddy. Not to mention, it wouldn't be a bad idea to have a veteran receiver on the roster - seeing as we don't have one.

Jennings wasn't what we was looking for before and I thought that's was one of the reasons we released him.
I think he is a class guy...but I would sooner have a younger reciever . Also if the TE's aren't blocking as much, maybe they will be running a few more routes.

He wasnt very good we had the ex Packer, I doubt he has improved.

If we want old FA wr, Boldin is the better answer. Unless he wants a ton of money, which some desperate team, other then us, will give him.

I wouldn't mind Jennings but it would have to be a real small deal.

Possibly. The only difference is when we brought them in, we thought they were number one WRs. I was hoping we can get Jennings as a 3rd or 4th WR option this time. Him and Teddy clicked and despite his age, I just have a hard time believing he won't be able to make a good contribution to the team this year. But you're right, we probably won't sign him. However, I don't think it would hurt. We could always use a camp body if anything. He doesn't necessarily have to make the final 53.

Jennings is a high character guy, he is also very sure handed and a strong route runner. I think it is more a question of if they can use him? He is best suited to play out of the slot which isn't a major need for the team.

I'm just not sure GJ adds enough value over the guys already on the roster to justify a spot.

Regarding Jennings, if he hasn't lost all his speed, he was actually a pretty effective #2 guy for us.

I thought Jennings had a good rapport with Teddy. The numbers speak to that. I don't know why you wouldn't want to get a guy in here who wants to be here and can put up more yards than any guy we had last year, for the right price. It's not like he was a cancer in the locker room.

Lets face it Miami has been a complete mess the last five or six seasons with the locker room scandal
and the big free agents not really playing off and the firings of coaches and upper management its not surprising
players would not make comments about the dolphins.

I got the feeling Rodgers and Jennings didn't really get along well. Jennings had been a main part of the offense
with Farve and wasn't nearly as much with Green Bay after Rodgers became the guy. In fact I think Jennings was
a third option or worse post Farve. With ego's and all that stuff so big in the NFL it's easy to see how Jennings
and Rodgers not being the best of friends.

Because we need to find someone who can play for more than a year. And his production is going to be on par with everyone on the roster, any rookie, free agent. etc. His production being the same as a rookie 5th rounder in his rookie season vs. Jennings in the twilight doesn't seem like a selling point to me.

Demi, I get your point about future seasons but I don't this years group is very good. I think we would better off
signing Jennings or Boldin and trying to add competition late in the draft and our OL and add some secondary
help or linebacker core in mid rounds. Maybe we can get another talent in fourth round. I like Duarte WR/TE
in the sixth round 6'3 not fast but good hands and decent speed. Could be a endzone post guy and problem for
LB receiver or a delayed block route guy.
