@mattvensel Xavier Rhodes has his right hand wrapped in clear plastic. Looks like they wrapped it up with about 10 feet of bubble wrap. #Vikings

I don't like the sounds of this.
@christomasson Sharrif Floyd on replacing Linval Joseph at nose tackle: "Until the big dog gets healthy, I got to be the big dog."

This. Is. Awesome.
@DerekWetmore Sharrif Floyd's plea to Linval: "Please come back. I understand you’re hurt -- I’ll give you my toe. Or at least give me 10 of your pounds."

You just have to enjoy the little moments of happiness when they come along, like TexasVike and I do! Come on, a guy named Euclid played for the Argonauts! Just think, if he becomes a Viking the beat writers can post articles about his odyssey of going from Georgia Tech to Toronto to the Vikes! It'll be golden.DK Sweets wrote:This thread makes me feel less happy. I wish this thread made me feel more happy.

Tee hee. That did make me happy.dead_poet wrote:

http://www.twincities.com/vikings/ci_29 ... um-thought"I was feeling a pain in my chest with every breath and motion," Exum wrote in an email about playing with his injury. "It was scary because I didn't know what it was. Thoughts went through my head: 'I could die out there,' just for the simple fact that I didn't know what the problem was. But I knew we didn't have anyone else (to play) safety.

You're certainly not dumb (Or "dum"... LOL)! You just haven't been exposed to those particular facts.DK Sweets wrote: *slow clap*

Euclid was a famous Greek mathetician. h'e soften referred to as the "Father of geometry".
The Argonauts were heroes, the crew of the ship Argos, in Greek mythology. They were led by the hero Jason and, among other things, they sought the fabled golden fleece (I was really into mythology as a kid). There's a fun old movie about them with effects by the late, great stop motion effects-master Ray Harryhausen titled Jason and the Argonauts. It contains fightin' skeletons!

Fractured ribs are no joking matter. Pneumothroax could have occurred and Exum could have been in serious trouble. Not only that, Exum was clearly limited by his injury, and, yet stayed in the game. I would argue that he hurt the team more than helping the team.
I appreciate the man's commitment and toughness, but man, Exum really could have jeopardized his safety.
