I'd like to see Zimmer, Teddy, Harrison, Linval, Barr, etc, go to a franchise and fan base who deserve them.purplehaze wrote: He aint gonna win a superbowl anywhere but a video game maybe.

Fiesta...I just dont get the blind man Crush you have for Teddy. I am all for giving him a chance but there is very little to actually be optimistic about when it comes to him. The BEST thing he can claim is that he has a crappy OL.......

Nothing looks good now. I pity the fools who think replacing Teddy will solve the problems. Even drafting one, Zimmer isnt going to play one right away. Theres always JFB though.

Re: Bridge to nowhere
love the thread title purplehaze. today was proof we need a real qb. it was like amateur hour out there. who should we blame this week? the o-line, wallace, norv turner, or how about the refs? bridgewater is a joke. even today the announcers were commenting on how poor his mechanics are. he throws like a little girl and wilson fires the ball. his deep balls couldn't be caught with a fish net. i feel like every year we are starting over at the qb position. now he has lost the one thing that he used to have; confidence. he is scared and hesitant every time he drops back it's actually difficult to watch. next week will be another massacre. me and mothman have been saying this for weeks. he is regressing and getting progressively worse each week.

Re: Bridge to nowhere
I really wish Teddy would have been the third stringer last year. That would have allowed Ponder to play when Cassle went down. Teddy would not have been anointed the starter coming into this year. We would still have Cassle as our starter this year and Teddy would be on the bench still learning the game. I still believe that Teddy can be the man at QB, but he is young and needs to develop. He needed the extra time to learn the offense and the NFL game in my opinion.

Re: Bridge to nowhere
I was in the Cassel corner. Do not blame him for what Dallas has done this year. Dallas blows.
As far as TB, you cats closer to the team and getting more coverage of the Vikes than I do down here in Texas, what is the qb's coach like, are you on board with him?
...wisdom

I understand what you're saying, but we would have burned the new stadium to the ground by now if we were still watching Ponder/Cassel.akvikingsfan wrote:I really wish Teddy would have been the third stringer last year. Clever thread title...
Bridgewater's showing why he fell out of favor prior to the draft and driving his truck toward Bust City. Hopefully, he can steer out of it. He's not a lost cause but at this point, he's basically a liability and and it's going to take a LOT of improvement for him to become the player the Vikes want him to be.
