Pretty sure I said 7-9 after week one. Its looking pretty safe that they'll be better than that!

Week one was a really depressing mess though.

IN DEFENSE OF THEODORE BRIDGEWATER...

He may be cautious, and this can drive you nuts watching him... but you have to admit that he did not turn the ball over or do anything terribly stupid today. This is important, especially on the road.

He would have had two passing TD's if Rudolph could catch a $%^*@! football.

He is the QB of the Minnesota Vikings, who are 7-2 and in 1st place in the NFC North.

Next week, he will lead the Vikes to a win over the Green Bay Packers.

"Winning isn't everything, it's the only thing." Some old Packer coach said that, apparently. :)

At some point he was 11 for 18 and I think he had 6 throw aways and a dropped TD.

Most exciting is that our run blocking seems to be coming together! With this defense and that running game this could get interesting.

I totally agree PLUS he made some great plays with his legs. The Kid is doing just fine

What I LOVE seeing is that we are playing solid on the road. It's nice to see the Vikings shed some of their old pesky tendencies. There is a new spirit and Zimmer's changed this team.

I don't know how you got racism out of my comment. If you only knew me, you'd know...

I remain a Teddy fan, but am getting concerned. If Teddy (which would be my preference, because he seems like a big character guy) could only connect with the receivers more, along with AD's running and this defense, the Vikings would be scary.

But a racist comment? No. Not even.

Zimmer deserves a lot of praise. Disiplined play tackling near top of league, penalties same. Very impressive !!!!!!

I think Joseph may be one of the best players on this team. He is in on almost every single play. He is a monster of a man. Great tackler. Great leader. How would you like to be Carr on the sack Joseph had on him? He could have killed him but didnt go for the driving into the field. But Carr is going to have nightmares of Joseph. He is one of the few players we couldnt afford to lose (Diggs being another). Isnt he someone Norv liked? At least thats something Norv got right :)

Purple bruise wrote: My only frustration is in the long passing game. I don t blame Teddy completely. Every one thinks our rec did not get separation today. That makes your point about caution being a good thing. I am pretty happy with him overall. His overall poise, occasional runs, and his tendency not to make too many key mistakes are great assets for a guy after not quite 1 and a half seasons.

Kalil has returned to rookie form, the same might be said for Walsh. If that continues the option decisions come easier

I was thinking the same thing when I watched that play. Man, that looked painful!

Joseph is playing at a VERY high level. He's become one of my favorite Vikings.
