Re: Vikings @ Lions Game Day Discussion Thread -- Week 7
Teddy has had a lot of time to throw today and not suprisingly, he's having one of his best games. Most of his incompletions are throw aways.
The less we see of Ap the better he's old and can't run behind this line, he will have flashes of brilliance every once and a while but he's on the decline. The offense looks better when he's not on the field. I'm sure some lunatics will disagree, but just because Ap can rip off a 50 yard run every once and a while doesn't make up for the fact that he stalls drives with ineffective running.

That's OK. I forgive your ignorance.Bigwehrm wrote:
Sorry I didn't have your inside info superstar. When the owner of the team says a few days ago that he won't coach this year. You just assume he is gonna make it more than a few days.

Just kidding, Bigwehrm. I wrote that post quickly because I was trying to follow the game via crappy sources (out of state, so it's not on TV here), so I probably lacked some grace in typing it up. Didn't mean to come off as a jerk. My source was really surprised that they'd managed to keep it on the DL so long. He was in bad shape for quite a while.

Yeah let's put in the guy that averaged 3 yards a carry last year in for Adrian Peterson. Good ideaIrishViking wrote:
except is asiata's brief appearance he has looked more fluid than AP. Its worth a look at the very least .

AP 9 rush 14yds 0 TD 0 fumbles.

Re: Vikings @ Lions Game Day Discussion Thread -- Week 7
AD tends to make the other backs look good (see Gerhart, Toby) because defenses generally change schemes when he's not on the field. His line is atrocious so there's not much he can do about that. What is his problem is his ball and pass protection, which have taken a step backwards this year.

I don't care what the stat line says. He fumbled the hand-off from Teddy.me4get wrote:AP 9 rush 14yds 0 TD 0 fumbles.

Sacked again, yikes. Good thing for the penalty or that would have been 16 sacks in 130 minutes on the road.
