Aj Mansour @AjKFAN 10:54 AM - 13 Aug 2015
Throughout camp I've witnessed EVERY wide receiver BUT ONE stay after practice on multiple days & work the JUGS machine...any guesses?!

I love that guy. :)

The best part of that press conference was when he was asked if all teams do this, if there's kind of a lull, and he responded, "I don't know. My team's not going to do this".

Who cares? It's a JUGS machine. Patterson's hands haven't been his big problem and not staying late within sight of A.J. Mansour to catch balls from a machine doesn't mean Patterson's not working hard, which is the obvious implication of that comment. Perhaps Patterson's putting in time elsewhere. Maybe he's going off and studying the playbook or watching film.

Mansour's been gunning for Patterson since camp started and that tweet is just cheap pot-stirring.

@christomasson Captain Munnerlyn said it wasn’t the maddest he’s ever seen Mike Zimmer but that it was “top five.’’
@christomasson David Yankey back at practice for first time in 9 days: “It’s good to get out there and actually practice and feel like you’re part of it.’’
‏@christomasson #Vikings LB Chad Greenway was asked the last time he had to take a lap in the middle of a practice: “High school.’’
@Andrew_Krammer Chad Greenway on today's practice: "It kind of leaves a bad taste in your mouth because I feel we've had a great camp." #Vikings

He makes me laugh and I know he's not trying to be funny with how serious he is about it.

Reporter: Were there any positives today?
Zim: Yeah, we're going home
Reporter: What kind of message did you give them as they are walking off here?
Zim: Probably can't repeat it.

Wouldn't it be great to hear one of those "Probably can't repeat it" messages from Zimmer (as long as we weren't on the receiving end of it anyway)?

This was pretty fun.

Zim Tzu, Starring An Incredibly Mad Mike Zimmer
So an irate Mike Zimmer took to the podium at Mankato. Let's see what he had to say, and then we'll translate. What Mike Zimmer actually said will be in quotes, and what we translate* will immediately follow.

Nice. It still doesn't show up on my guide so I had no idea. Glad I don't have to wait for the repeat on Sunday.

Speaking of preseason football ... a friend invited me to the Bears game tonight. It should be fun! Is there anything in particular anybody wants me to "scout" about our NFC North rival in their first preseason game?

Just how terrible will they be this year? I expect them to be one of the worst teams in the NFL.

For individual players I wouldn't mind a recap of Eddie Goldman's play. Hearing a lot of good things about him in Bears camp but it's always hard to judge the DL since they can't really tackle. Tonight should be a better indicator of how far along he is, even though it's going to be limited snaps.

I actually don't... they'll probably struggle on defense but I think they may have a pretty potent offense. There's plenty of talent on that side of the ball. They had some serious coaching/locker room issues last year but they've brought in an experienced, accomplished coaching staff and I think it's likely to make a big difference. I don't expect a winning season but I don't expect them to be a bottom feeder. I'm thinking they'll have a season similar to the one the Vikes had last year.

I'll keep an eye on him!
