"source" says he is still trying to get traded.

He didn't have any leverage, but as the season starts he will actually have some leverage.

I've had my fill of him as well...as much as I'd like to see the best back in the NFL on my favorite team, I'm to the point I hope he plays nowhere.
AP and his agent sure are teaching the Vikings a lesson aren't they!

I still don't think he will have any leverage. The vikings won't back down at this point. Trade him to the cowgirls for their 2016 1st 2nd 3rd and Byron jones.

I'd gladly take a 1st and Byron Jones...

I don't personally find it upsetting or unreasonable at all that he wants to be traded. I wouldn't want to be in Minnesota either if I was him. I get that from a fans perspective its annoying but just taking a step back and looking at it from a human perspective, I understand his desire to relocate and start fresh and hold no grudge or ill will against him.

Thanks for the link and I agree with you that from a human perspective, it's pretty easy to understand why he might want a fresh start.

He's skipped voluntary OTAs in the past. They're just not something he always attends and if he wants to be traded or is angling for a restructured deal and more guaranteed money, showing up for OTAs won't help his cause. I didn't expect him to show up for them. The first mandatory mini-cap begins June 16th. Maybe he'll show up for that. If he doesn't, that will be an indication he's somewhat serious about one of the options above and it might even mean he'll miss some or all of training camp.

We'll see what happens. At this point, I can't get upset about a player skipping voluntary workouts or about what Charles Robinson's source close to the situation has to say.

Make Jerry Jones give up a first rounder next year and a decent player, or two... and get rid of him. Buh-bye... we'll be fine.

Here's something:
Jason Cole @JasonPhilCole

Ominous text from agent Ben Dogra about #Vikings RB Adrian Peterson. "He is very very strong ... he's like Revis." Sounds like a holdout

There's a lull in the NFL news cycle, voluntary OTAs are coming up and surprise, surprise, the Adrian Peterson rumors kick in again... and from the usual suspects (Robinson, Cole, etc.).

I think Kevin Siefert has a good perspective:
Kevin Seifert ‏@SeifertESPN
Adrian Peterson could miss OTAs, maybe minicamp. Possibly training camp. #Vikings doubt he would skip regular season. All that counts.

I think Kevin Siefert has a good perspective:
I think that's the correct take, but I think if they get a decent offer the Vikings should and would move Mr. Peterson and be done with this. I also think Mr. Spielman has managed this very well in terms of maximizing the demand for AP and also preparing for the possibility of not having him going forward.

Wish they'd just move him already.

Whatever they get would likely contribute for longer than Peterson will. We won't win a super bowl with him. The window just isn't open far enough. Get what you can, while you can.

In their view, they may be done with it. I doubt they are phased at all by Peterson not planning to show up for this OTA. It was easily anticipated and likely expected.

Agreed, I don't think this is a big deal. Analysts on TV are saying the same thing. As many of you know, I wanted AP gone but if anyone out there thinks he'll be traded post-draft, it's not going to happen. Our trade window was a few weeks ago when the draft was going on. There is no window anymore. If we drafted a good back in this past draft, then I think there would have been a window but with only McKinnon and Mr. 3.2 YPC himself, there isn't a chance we trade him now.

I sure hope our GM isn't that short sighted.
