Adrian hasn't had any good blocking to date, why stop now?

Pretty sure the return of Peterson should help that. But yeah, a guard would be nice anytime now.

This guy is a little light in the pants, isnt he? Freakish looking, but his numbers aren't that great. Could have gone in another direction. But if Zimmer can beef this guy up I am all for it.

Don't hate on my Buckeyes. Some of the best Vikings went to Ohio State.
Including now, HOF WR #80 Cris Carter

I really wonder if they've got something else planned. A trade for a Vet or something else we don't know about yet.

Josue Matis and Tre Jackson are still on the board. So is T.J. Clemmings.

After reading a little bit about Hunter he really excited me. Sound like exactly what Zimmer wants in a DE. He can replace Robison after a year of development.

Maybe they use the extra picks they just got to come back and grab TJ Clemmings?

Jim, if Hunter was the best player on their board, wouldn't you agree it was a good pick? Gotta stay true to the board.
If he was the best player on their board I'd say rearrange the board. ;)

Seriously, how much higher could he have been ranked on their board than some of the offensive talent available? At some point, it seems worth considering that they don't have a starting guard.

I don't see Clemmings playing guard, Jackson seems a better fit.

Maybe..but if they felt strongly about Hunter, then why pass on a player they feel could be an impactful player down the line for a player they might feel less strongly about, just to fill a need? Obviously I don't know what their feelings were on Hunter vs. the guards available, but I think the pick was made based on BPA, because DE is obviously not as pressing a need as OG.

He can be a force on special teams right away.

Hopefully he grows into a key piece of our defensive line rotation.

Maybe... there's still guard talent out there and the Vikes now have ammo to move around. I'm sure there's a plan. I'm just impatient and I didn't like the project pick. I also felt like they needed to take more steps to improve the offense and it's been all defense thus far.

Mathis. If I recall Philly was asking for a 6th rounder. Didn't seem like they were asking for much. Short term solution but a proven quality vet.
