9-6. I see a rocky start with the team starting to gel mid-season then a nice win to end the season in Lambeau to give us hope as the new stadium opens.

Brutal. For a team that did very little to improve this offseason it doesn't look pretty.

It's interesting to me that they're seen as "woeful Chicago" when the Vikes rather unconvincing win over them in the final game of the season is all that kept the two teams from finishing with the same 6-10 record. I'm not sure much separates them at this point, although I hope the Vikes are on the way up.

The offseason is far from over. We have a lot of time to improve.

The first 9 games look brutal to me. I see the Niners as the easiest. Say what you will of the Bears....we have a hard time in their building.

Thursday night game against the Cards too.

But a tough road any way you slice it.

Hope this O-line is up to the task

PA and Wobby talk about the schedule. They bring up some good points.

Hard schedule for an 8-8 team. That last game outdoors could break some records. I want a winning record and a winning record in the division to make me a happy man. What would make me even happier if there were a special thread for those posts that deal with us 'tanking' games if we are out of the picture.

I disagree, it isn't any surprise that their success rides on the 100 million plus dollar QB that they are paying. I mean, that is how it works. Any team paying one guy that amount of money and cap space is going to rely on him being on the field. They played 500. ball with Matt Flynns mediocre #$%, so there is that.

But really, I think alot of you are with me when I say I hope week 17 is for the division, that kinda stuff is just way to exciting to me. :) Should have a great atmosphere in the cold.

I can go either way. It's either for the division or the game doesn't matter because the Vikings are two games ahead of everyone else in the division.

Nah, to easy going into week 17 with the division locked up, I wouldn't want that unless it was a 15-1 16-0 type season.

Nope, I strongly prefer being able to compete directly for the division title in the last game of the season, gimme some of that black n blue division. :D

I live in Washington DC. I am making plans already to attend the 49ers-Vikings game. Anybody else down to go.
