I'm frightened just looking at him.
Re: 2015 Offseason - Free Agent/Draft Tracker
Like this guy for depth on the O-line and possible steal if he can reach his potential. I've been wanting Vikings to go after giant mauler type lineman and it seems like they're finally leaning that way.

ON TO VALHALLA
Re: 2015 Offseason - Free Agent/Draft Tracker
Allegedly his first time doing these drills? I can't believe that. I know very little about O-line drills but he looks pretty good by my untrained eyes.

I think this is in response to SPARQ scores...
@ArifHasanNFL Formula may overadjust for wt, but notable that v all OL since 2005 w/ Combine invite, Aiyegbusi scored 2nd behind Solder and ahead of Lewan

Don't hate on my Buckeyes. Some of the best Vikings went to Ohio State.

Babatunde Aiyegbusi.
Sort of surprised that Spielman wasted a roster spot on this guy but ... whatever. At 27 years old he doesn't have much time for development. Feels like a Brock Lesnar type signing.
That's what his YouTube video looks like. A big stiff who due to his size can overpower guys where the level of competition is lower than US college football.one NFC East scout who attended the workout called Aiyegbusi "big and stiff," which obviously isn't conducive to success in the NFL when protecting quarterbacks.

He's not guaranteed a roster spot. He's a long shot, sure.

6-foot-8-inches and 351 pounds with a 26.5-inch vertical and a 5.28 time in the 40-yard dash... Not bad for a giant. You never know, he could make the practice squad and maybe learn enough to be NFL-ready in a season. It will be fun to watch him.

He does seem to be guaranteed a spot on the 90 man roster going into training camp.dead_poet wrote:He's not guaranteed a roster spot. He's a long shot, sure.
Re: 2015 Offseason - Free Agent/Draft Tracker
dude on one play; about 1.55 seconds in the video he made a third level block down field and several plays he was
running two thirds of the play down field (40 yards) to block... I love this guy so far...

I definitely don't mind giving him a chance!
Re: 2015 Offseason - Free Agent/Draft Tracker
Sure, but that's hardly a big commitment. What's the problem with taking a shot?Pseudo Everything wrote: He does seem to be guaranteed a spot on the 90 man roster going into training camp.

Newman turns 37 in September. Props to him for being able to stay in the kind of shape it takes to play CB in the NFL. Pretty rare for a guy this old to play CB in the NFL. He would still have to play 5 more years to match what Darrell Green did. Green was a once in a lifetime type athlete.MusicCityViking wrote:
