No duh, right? Were they ever even considering cutting him? I don't think so. Reporters getting antsy for some news.
Ya the no cutting was no surprise, I don't understand how it was ever believed by anyone whether or not he would be cut. The only interesting thing about the reports is how bad Dogra wanted to make it clear to media that AP was not going to be cut.
It was hardly a vacation and he didn't get paid for 15 games either, but the trouble he found himself in was self-inflicted.
If I'm not mistaken, AP got paid for each game that he wasn't suspended by the league; that was the purpose of the commissioners exempt list. Whereas if the Vikings cut him like the Ravens did to rice, he would have lost his money in its entirety. so whatever questionable loyalty the Vikings had towards him should have been cleared up with their continued willingness to pay him when they didn't have to.

That's correct, he was paid while he was on the exempt list but he wasn't on the exempt list for 15 games, which is why he didn't get paid for all 15 of the games he missed.

his camp is totally against the team, now.
The Vikings need to end this one way or another....
No, I Don't think they need to end this. If they can't find a trade that they like, they say "you are under contract, see you in winter park." If peterson say no and holds out, he gets fined and not paid. If he retires, the Vikes will still have the rights to him if he wants to come back. My guess is he will play.
I personally think we do not need to rush this.

Same. No matter what they say about possibly taking a pay cut for a trade or anything else, Peterson is still about the money. He won't sit out and make nothing.
Also after the draft and after training camps there might be more suitors. You never know what will happen with teams not getting the draft picks they want or injuries happening in camp. Hell, Arizona could draft Gordon/Gurley at 24 then trade him and the honey badger to us for Peterson. (That's my hope )
