My expectations are more along the lines of how you define them, Raptorman. I think his stats can be affected by so many things that are out of Teddy's control: Not only the obvious things like whether the line stays healthy or whether his receivers are good, but things like an effective running game. If we get a 2000 yard season out of Peterson, it will mean we are winning a lot and Teddy won't have high yardage. Or like last year, when we had a very good goal-line running attack, which syphoned off a lot of TD's that most QB's end up throwing on short passes into the end zone.

The only expectation I really have is that he'll be the second best QB in the division.

I only expect that Teddy continue to grow and develop as a QB. I don't care about the stats so much. I would like to see him stay at 10 or below INTs, but I know INTs aren't necessarily indicative of performance.

I was going to say the same thing.

Then I remembered Christian Ponder.

My hope is that Teddy Bridgewater will take a big step forward this year. I want him to continue the great progress he showed down the stretch in 2014. I hope he will display an ability not just to not lose games, but to actually win games. I'd like to see him make strides in finishing drives. I want to see him become a quarterback who can dictate what defenses do, rather than always reacting to the defense (a la Ponder).

I don't think there are stats for those things, but that's what I'm hoping.

Go ahead. I dare you.

The most important part for me is that he looks the part. I don't care about the numbers. I want him to look like he belongs, and when the game is on the line I want to be filled with a sense of optimism instead of hopeful dread.

I would have to agree - he seems to have taken on the personality of his head coach - don't buy into the hype coming from the prognosticators. I like it. A lot.

If anybody is an ESPN insider, would you mind posting the article on Teddy by some guy named Clay? Seems interesting

Vikings' Teddy Bridgewater 'committed to building something special'
Bridgewater is fine with others measuring him by production standards or with rewards, but he is focused on victories, professional growth and solidifying trust in the locker room.

"I just want to continue to be a better teammate," he said. "I'm going into my second year now; a lot more responsibilities are going to be handed to me. I want to show that I'm accountable and just be a better leader."
I liked this bit.
The Vikings were encouraged by Bridgewater's improvement at making quicker and more prudent passing decisions, improving his accuracy and keeping pace with NFL defenses. He is committed to refining those skills.

Even his answers to banal football questions sound cooler rolling off his tongue.

"I want to have a plan before the ball is even snapped. I want to win at the line of scrimmage," he said. "I want to know where I'm going with the football, what I'm doing with protection and just sit back in the pocket and play comfortable."

Doesn't his confidence seem completely different from this point last year?

I expect him to continue to improve, get better at making good decisions with the ball, and seeing the open receivers. As far as yards and stats go, I have no expectations there.

3700 Hundred Yards 70 percent completion rate 24 touchdowns or more

I think that is realistic given last year

Teddy is really the consummate pro, even at this young age. I love this:

You've all heard of Wet Ball Wednesdays, and Odd Ball Thursdays, right? The fact that Teddy spends the extra time working on these small facets of his game is pretty descriptive of the way he takes it seriously. I can't help but feel that if he has a long career (if injury doesn't shortcut it), he'll have a lot of success.

The TDs and yards are fair, but there wasn't a QB in the league who threw the ball at least 150 times and kept it above 70%.
