It's going to be interesting to see if Wallace fits or if his attitude will clash with that of his coaches and teammates:

Yeah, I'm already seeing this not going well. I sincerely hope I'm wrong.

I'm hoping Wallace will see this as his last chance to keep his big pay check and he'll fall in line. He's already not even worth a straight up 5th round pick via trade (we got a 7th as well) so I'm hoping that knocked him down a peg. If he blows this chance and gets cut after the season he'll certainly be paid less in free agency.

I think with only a 3 million cap hit this year it is high reward low risk situation. If Wallace is whiney baby this year he gets cut and we are out 3 mil. If he realizes the potential of this team I think he could really flourish and silence all of his naysayers. I hope he tears it up personally.

I hope so too but I'm nervous.

That's a good point. I would hope he'd be a bit humbled by this trade but who knows?

Remember when you all laughed at me because I stated the obvious that old Rick has a hard on for anyone that has ever grown up in Florida, went to school there, or spent some time on one of their nfl teams....

This is just getting old. My brother is a steelers fan, the guy was a bum that just happened to fit into a good system. he looked like crap last year on a team light years ahead of what Spielman has pasted together.

Give Rick a break. He's obviously not getting the same amount of blood flow to his noggin as other GMs as a consequence of that Florida-induced woody.

By the way, Wallace was born and raised in Louisiana, attended college in Mississippi and played for Pittsburgh in the pros. The, when he became a free agent, the Vikes tried to sign him, before Wallace had any connection to Florida at all. However, he ended up signing with Miami instead. Nevertheless, since Rock Hard Rick was clearly interested in Wallace before there was a Florida connection, your theory doesn't really hold orange juice... er water.

Well, he's in another good system. So he has that going for him. And not sure how many light years the Dolphins are ahead of anyone.
That's a good point. I would hope he'd be a bit humbled by this trade but who knows?
Wasn't it already reported he was upset with the trade? Not sure how humbled someone is when less than 24 hours after the trade someone around him is already letting it out he wasn't too happy. Not sure you can humble these diva wide receivers...

If Wallace looked like crap last year then what did our receivers look like? Wallace was better last season than any of our receivers.

This trade was a steal even if he produces at the same level he did last year with 10 touchdowns and over 860 yards..

If the guy is all about money and stats he's wrong for this team IMO. I want guys who's passion is connected to winning football games...period.

All that remains to be seen with Wallace.

Which Diva WR had the biggest game in the SB?
When was the last time a WR was MVP or carried his team to the Lombardi......was it never? Probably.

It's important to have a guy or two who can stretch the field, especially in Norv's scheme...duh, but that doesn't mean you can't get it done with a good solid team guy and quite possibly on a rookie contract.

I have some doubts about Wallace and it's going to take several games before I believe he's a good fit no matter his stats.

Just posted this in the free agent tracker thread..
The Dolphins and Vikings both confirmed the deal, while Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports noted that Wallace's contract will remain the same.
News to me, and not good news at all IMO.
