Making Sense of Adrian Peterson's Value and the Free Agency RB Market
But how much is Adrian Peterson really worth in the current NFL landscape? With new deals signed by top running backs, we have a chance to compare.
There are a number of factors involved, starting with the contracts of comparable running backs, but also age, scarcity and the importance of the running game in the NFL.
Well...let him go. The Vikings can't control the media, and if he wants more money after last year, let somebody else pay him. I'm glad other RBs are getting awesome deals...it makes moving him easier.

F*ck that. If that's the case, I'm making it clear that Peterson will play in Purple in 2015 or not at all.
Looks like John has had a relapse and is huffing gas again. That or he has plunked down some huge futures bet on the Cardinals winning the SB.
The media has made this whole situation into 10x the mess it would have been otherwise.
And wasn't Harvin valued as a second rounder at best? These guys don't know what players are worth to teams, they just say what THEY think they're worth in a non-pressure scenario.

You've got that right and consequently, fan emotions ping-ponging all over the the place even more than they would be otherwise. With each new story someone's resentment increases or they stop caring or they feel compelled to cite Peterson's transgressions against the human race or his value to the team and so on and so on...
It won't end when this is resolved either. Resentments will linger. Investments or trade compensation will be debated... it's the gift that keeps on giving.
Seems hard to believe Clayton has any idea what he's talking about in this case. I'd rather trade Peterson for Kiko Alonso.
Every analyst also said Harvin would net a 3rd. They know nothing!! There isnt a chance in hell that Cassel nets a 5 and 7 but AP nets a 4th. I wonder how these guys have jobs

It could be Clayton is getting his information from "inside sources" that would stand to benefit from attempting to deflate his value.
