And Teddy padding his stats on that final drive when they're in prevent. At least he broke 100. Barely. Why are we cursed with these guys as our leader? Oh yeah, front office.

Re: Vikings @ Bears Game Day Discussion Thread -- Week 11
That was rough. Especially rough to sit in 25degree weather and watch that. The officiating and clock guy was terrible (not sure if this was noticed on TV, but the clocks were messed up all game). The scoreboard guy should also be fired. After the first Vikings FG, the FG read 9 - 0. Then it went 9 -7. The 9 - 99.
On to the actual game... Even though they put up like 450 yds on us, our defense actually held them to 21 pts, when they had pretty decent field position all game. The biggest defensive issue was not adapting to their WR screens. That was like 90% of their offense. Unreal. Not to mention all the missed tackles. Barr looked terrible.
Offense is so inept. This is so frustrating to watch. Line is terrible. Bridgewater is terrible (he is not seeing open receivers - on the occasion they get open). Playcalling is terrible. And on that last play, Bridgewater could have hit (I don't recall who it was), but he had him in between the zone for a second, but threw it to Chicago.

The difference between men is not lack of strength, not lack of knowledge, but rather a lack of will.

How do you call that padding his stats? He was attempting a game tying drive. If Chicago was up by 2 or more scores then maybe but not in this instanceDemi wrote: This was a team effort. Re: Vikings @ Bears Game Day Discussion Thread -- Week 11
At this point, I'm looking to just see improvement. We obviously aren't a playoff team and pretty much have a very small chance anyways with Detroit and GB firmly at the top. I'm liking what I'm seeing from the young players like Barr, Floyd, Rhodes, Teddy, McKinnon, etc. Our line desperately needs help, we need guys that can get open and we could use another big outside CB
Big offseason needs are LG/LT, WR, CB
Other needs that aren't necessarily huge: MLB, SS
I'll be posting a mock offseason soon now that I know AP will be back

Man I read this entire thread and I thought PK was more than reasonable with his responses. Lots of people sucked today. What I thought was ridiculous was this guy who only chimed in to complain about everything another fan had to say. I mean talk about not contributing to the conversation. If your only contribution was to complain about every comment PK made, then why were you even here? Why didn't you just foe him? If you "positive" guys are so above it all, then why not just ignore him? At least his comments were about the game and the team. You were just basically calling him a bad fan the entire game.Pondering Her Percy wrote: Dude don't be an idiot. Every time you said "ok we get it", I was thinking the same thing about you. Yeah we get it, you're one of those "positive" fans who just happens to always be negative toward other fans, but the irony goes right over your head. Why doesn't your "holier than thou" positive attitude carry over to other fans? The suck #### football team making you miserable is worthy of your endless supply of positivity, but a fellow fan with higher expectations is not? Nah, lets just berate him incessantly, that'll make him positive.
My exact thought as I read through this entire thread.PurpleKoolaid wrote:Do you not see the irony of your complaining about every post I make, saying that I am complaining?
But it's ok to leave 1000 posts all over the board telling us how much Teddy sucks am-I-right? The guy who supported Ponder through 36 craptacular starts is done with Teddy after just 5? Do tell us, how can you tell Teddy is a bust already when you still can't tell if Ponder is? While you're at it, tell us how you determine who is/isn't worthy of criticism on this team because you're about as random as it gets when it comes to that.Purple bruise wrote:god help us. But the funniest thing about your comment is how you call the game a debacle and say how much it made you suffer, but then you thought it was unreasonable for fans to complain about it? What kind of bull corn logic is that? Oh man, the Vikings were just absolutely dreadful today and made me miserable, but somehow it was still all sunshine, rainbows, and puppies hehe. Totally makes sense.

Its totally lame to whine about the click and officiating. The refs didnt cause this loss, crappr talent and crappier effort by the Vikings did. Zim is a #### to get in front of the cameras and whine about clocks. Man up and take the blame coach

I'm only speaking for myself when I say this, but at the same time I think others who seem to get labeled as "positive" would probably agree with this. But my problem with the types of posts we saw consistently today wasn't the negativity, it's the exaggeration of things and coming to big picture conclusions based on one play or game that tends to irritate me a little. Generally I just ignore it now, as getting into arguments over this stuff only makes the board more annoying to read.
It's just that I wish some people could stop being so one note, and over the top with their criticisms, and keep a little perspective when complaining about the team. I for one #### and complained a lot today, but I did it without saying for example something along the lines of "Josh Robinson is the worst CB ever" or without calling for someone's firing.
But on that same note, I think it's viable to say that some should not be so one note in criticizing others for their negativity

So tell me how saying "Josh Robinson sucks", "Kalil sucks", and "Spielman sucks" brings anything to the conversation??? I was posting about the game as well. And I pointed out Kalil's struggles but to sit there and say everyone sucks is just as tiring as anything. I have made more than enough contribution to this board and often back up my posts with facts rather than sitting here whining and crying and saying guys just suck. Maybe I went overboard with some of my posts because I was just as frustrated as anyone and thats my fault but I don't care what anyone says, sitting there saying everyone sucks repeatedly brings absolutely nothing to the conversation as well. I'll be a man about it and I'll admit I was at fault as well but to defend the constant negativity that goes on when the team is struggling is ridiculous.Reignman wrote:Man I read this entire thread and I thought PK was more than reasonable with his responses. What I mean by negativity is more the overreactions than anything. If you're mad about something then you express it, its part of the board. But to say Josh Robinson is the worst CB in the league when he's statistically been one of the better CBs this year but had one bad game, brings nothing to the board. Then I find it odd that some continue to say "put Sherels in" when he is the same exact height as Robinson and that's what Robinson is getting criticized for. When anyone plays poorly, they are automatically awful in some eyes and need to be gone. Posts like that just aren't necessary and people get tired of seeing the overblown comments that are so far fetched its not even funny. When this team struggles, some get wayyyy to sour on here. I want to see improvement at this point. This wasn't a playoff team from day 1 so my expectations weren't through the roof by any means. But when I see the young players improve and make plays, that's when I comment in these game threads. I don't continue to beat a dead horse and overreact out of my a## all game and that's where I was at fault by continuing to comment on it. I'm at the point where I won't comment in the game threads anymore. Especially if the Vikings aren't playing good. It's not even enjoyable to read.

Re: Vikings @ Bears Game Day Discussion Thread -- Week 11
JOSH ROBINSON WAS ONCE CONSIDERED THE WORST STARTING CB IN THE NFL, JUST A FEW YEARS AGO! I wasn't exaggerating. He literally was. And he was thrown at more then any other. So why not put someone else in? Its common sense. Is he still considered statically one of the best CB's? When things are going bad, and NOTHING is being done to correct, I will point it out. There are a lot of other problems on this team, and I will be pointing them out. Like Barr stinking the place up today.Pondering Her Percy wrote: So tell me how saying "Josh Robinson sucks", "Kalil sucks", and "Spielman sucks" brings anything to the conversation??? Zimmer didn't have his team ready to play a team that had been slaughtered in the weeks before. We could have had Phil out standing where Kyle was and had better luck.
When the team consistently does better, I always point it out. But they are all over the place. I don't need you moderating my posts, or even reading them. And if something isn't enjoyable, why do you keep commentating on the other people commentating? Its like banging your head against the wall because it feels so good when you stop.

robinson should be ashamed to step on a football field after what marshall did to him. size difference or not, he KNEW the ball was coming and the play happened just like everyone thought it would. another thing, is rhodes the next chris cook or what? what is he waiting for to intercept a pass? how many games does a person need to start before they get one freaking interception? either way, overall today was much more on the offense. we won't win a game the rest of the year playing like that offensively.

thanks for the heads up breeze i didn't see it i was only able to see half the game. i have the red zone package at home, but the vikings rarely get down there so it doesn't do me any good at all to even turn it on. lol.

I don't mean any offense by this, but this was absolutely hilarious to read. I understand you didn't see the game, just found it humorous you chose this game of all his games to complain about no picks... the game he finally got onemosscarter wrote:robinson should be ashamed to step on a football field after what marshall did to him. size difference or not, he KNEW the ball was coming and the play happened just like everyone thought it would. another thing, is rhodes the next chris cook or what? what is he waiting for to intercept a pass? how many games does a person need to start before they get one freaking interception? either way, overall today was much more on the offense. we won't win a game the rest of the year playing like that offensively.

That's quite enough good fan/bad fan, positive fan/negative fan talk. Please re-focus on the Vikings and football.
A certain amount of venting is fine in these game threads, during the games, and assume some of it it is going to be over-the-top. That's the nature of fans and venting. However, if someone is really getting under your skin, foe them and ignore them, even if it's just for an afternoon. When people just keep sniping at each other all day, that's annoying for everyone. Express your feelings and opinions about the Vikings but please, stop sniping at each other again and again.
