Turn out the lights the Spielman's over.
Re: Vikings @ Bears Game Day Discussion Thread -- Week 11
As least he slung it, rather go down on an INT than a sack or something.

At least they tried at the end.

The OL is proven to be a fail, the secondary has shown they cannot cover a modern WR who is 6'4".......and we have no RB....... Gotta b fixed

Season over. Hopefully we can pick up some key pieces in next years draft.
Hopefully starting with a LT

Johnson slowed down on his route once again. Not the first time that happened

Sad to be a Viking fan these days
Not much to be excited about. Gonna need a great draft and a few serious FA pickups to bring this average Defense and total crap offense into NFL prominence

Don't pick a fight with an old Viking. If he is too old to fight, he'll just kill you.
Re: Vikings @ Bears Game Day Discussion Thread -- Week 11
this is the first game where our secondary was really beat bad, and it was 100% Josh Robinson, who's actually played really well all year. I'm not going to jump to any conclusions based on one game.chicagopurple wrote:The OL is proven to be a fail, the secondary has shown they cannot cover a modern WR who is 6'4".......and we have no RB....... The Bears shut down the running game and forced us to pass the ball all game long, McKinnon is a good RB, but he can't do anything when the passing game can't complete a pass beyond 2 yards.
Something's gotta change with Bridgewater or the play calling to create more urgency and more aggressiveness downfield, we simply cannot win games if all we do is check down all game. It's clear that Bridgewater has the ability to read the defense and pick apart the intermediate level of the field, he does it consistently in crucial situations. But for whatever reason, when the urgency to score isn't there he's trying too hard to be perfect, and it's resulting in check down after check down which simply won't cut it.

You know it. But there's a bit more hope this off season (starting tomorrow).purplehaze wrote: Man doesn't it get old always looking forward to next year?![]()
There's some really good players on this team. Just a lack of talent at key positions, especially for a rookie QB (o-line, receivers) these are the two main areas I'd like to see addressed. D looks good. Although, some stilts for Robinson would come in handy. I think his main weakness was found out today. The fact he's a short arse.

I get it we suck and didn't play well enough to win. But next week, whenever the Pack has the ball in a two minute situation, we should just shut off the clock on them.
