On article I read said that JJ, as an owner, would be required to notify the NFL regarding such a conversation. It is the fact that he did not do so that technically makes it tampering.Purple Reign wrote: There is a lot of gray area concerning tampering. But I don't think AP telling Jones that he wouldn't mind playing for the Cowboys at some point would be considered tampering.

I understand that the rules say Jones should have contacted the Vikings, but my question would be since Adrian initiated the call, who really is the one doing the tampering? Like I said, lots of gray area here.PsyDanny wrote: On article I read said that JJ, as an owner, would be required to notify the NFL regarding such a conversation. Good. Now we can let this low-quality thread drop to the bottom. If ever a topic got blown out of proportion of what really happened and illustrated fans' impoverished reading comprehension skills... this has been it.
Re: Adrian Peterson: 'I'll let it ride'
Current player wants to end his career on another team, the "franchise" player. Eh, nothing to see here. Just AD being AD. The big silly.

You didn't hear Jerry Jones and AD on the phone to each other? You think someone made that up? AD showed where his mind is at. So did JJ, but ofc the NFL isn't going to investigate the Cowgirls owner on tampering.Jeffbleedspurple wrote:Did Peterson make some promise to the world that I didn't know about, about the only thing I read about the Vikings is a broken promise by Peterson.

How Romo got that contract is beyond me. Even with time and the receivers he has, he played stupidly again.NextQuestion wrote:Hope AP watched the Cowboys yesterday and said "Yep, glad to be in MN still". Dallas is pure garbage

Oh yeah, those picks were some of the stupidest I've seen. Throwing into double and triple coverage against the Niners D? C'mon maaaan.PurpleKoolaid wrote: How Romo got that contract is beyond me. Even with time and the receivers he has, he played stupidly again.
Poor Cowboys fans. NOT!

Re: Adrian Peterson: 'I'll let it ride'
Who does he have besides Dez Bryant? The guy isn't the best in the league, but he has consistently put up numbers with talent like Miles Austin, Laurent Robinson, Patrick Crayton, and Roy Williams. I think sometimes we pick on Romo because it's fun, but he's not as bad as his reputation implies.PurpleKoolaid wrote:How Romo got that contract is beyond me. Because he's an elite quarterback and has been for a long time. Elite QBs get big money and he's making less than some far less deserving players.PurpleKoolaid wrote: How Romo got that contract is beyond me. Even with time and the receivers he has, he played stupidly again.

Romo is not a WINNER, he chokes when the real Pressure arrives. Don't care about his Numbers, yeah he is good up until the real pressure arrives. Always been a choking NFL QB and he always will be. Plus he's hurt and it's not gonna get better. Bet he doesn't finish the season

He has won ONE play-off game his entire career....seems far from elite to me.

Re: Adrian Peterson: 'I'll let it ride'
I just read that Leber, after the game, was suggesting it's time to trade AD. Did anyone hear him talking about that?
I'm just surprised, as a former teammate and as someone still so close to the team, that he'd go there.
