I'm as old school as anyone, but I really like the white on purple look.

And yes, New England generally switches to dark pants on the road, as do several teams with white or gray home pants.

... and Green Bay wears the same gold pants on the road that they wear at home, so they wear a white jersey with colored pants too.

Sorry, more meant as same color shirt and same color pants. I absolutely the Ravens and Saints plain black spandex look for both home and away.

I think teams with colored pants have less of a dilemma. They don't look like they're playing in their long underwear when they go to white tops.

And other teams have tried it and had the idea soundly rejected by fans. Cleveland tried white over brown pants (which looks pretty good to me), but then went back.

Man, it looks like I may be the only person who actually likes the all purple alternate. That's the uniform I always use on Madden haha.

Now, I am not the biggest fan of the color purple (mostly because it seems kind of feminine, I guess?), but it is our team color, so being decked out in all purple looks sweet to me....

I've always thought of purple as a relatively masculine color.

Anyway, I suspect you are in the minority in liking the all-purple alternates but someone else must like them. After all, the Vikings wear them ...

Purple is only masculine when Prince wears it...oh wait, I take that back. Prince is awesome though, but I wouldn't mind all purple uniforms!

Addendum: Again, I don't like "black" shoes. Make them white and add purple, or purple and yellow.

I agree that the gold and black & gold were pretty hideous. However, that black/purple combo looks prertty sweet.

I hate the Bears, but there uniform design is still tops in the league IMO. Chargers are honorable mention, I've always liked the bolts.
