Best part about Zimmer is that he's willing to adjust for personnel. And has made that clear. Frazier ran his system regardless if it was working or not. And only adjusted when it was too late, if at all.

Good coaches will adjust, be during the game or the season with personel.

Locker really screwed up not coming out after his junior year in the 2010 draft. St. Louis may have still taken Bradford, but Locker wouldn't have been too far behind him.

I still think Jake Locker has a chance to be competent NFL QB - if he can stay healthy. That dude was straight ridiculous in college.

He has always been about raw potential. He doesn't complete a high percentage of his passes, he has a terrible YPA avg., and if you can't be efficient with your passing, you can't be a good QB. I really have no idea what they were looking at, or anyone else who didn't pick Cam Newton or Andy Dalton.

Free agent DT Kevin Williams says he'll consider retirement if his financial demands are not met.

"If it's not worth the risk of going back out there, I can't say I'll do it," he said. "I don't see (taking a low-value deal) at this point, but you never know. ... I'm not one of those guys that's afraid to go home." Williams visited the Seahawks on Monday, but says "nothing was decided." Williams visited the Giants earlier in April. Going on 34, Williams has been in the league for 11 seasons.

Free agent CB A.J. Jefferson worked out for the Seahawks on Thursday.

An ex-Viking and Cardinal, Jefferson has 14 games of starting experience, but was waived by Minnesota last November after getting arrested on domestic-violence charges. Jefferson has always struggled in coverage, but has some of the size Seattle likes in corners at 6-foot-1, 190 pounds.

Seahawks signed CB A.J. Jefferson, formerly of the Vikings.

Jefferson is a plus-sized (6'0/193) athlete with an insane 44-inch vertical and 4.42 speed, but he has struggled whenever given the opportunity to play on defense. The Seahawks will try to coach him up in their press-man scheme.

I wonder what his "demands" are. They must be very high if no one is even close to meeting them.
I would love for him to sign a 2 year deal with the Vikings. Or maybe he will want to start a new career in Medical Manufacturing and work with me [emoji1]

I think it has more to do with him being financially sound for the rest of his life to the point where taking a big pay cut and getting beat up (it's football afterall) just isn't worth the long term damage you can sustain with as long of a career playing in the trenches as Williams' has had. His demands are probably more about landing with a contender so he has a real shot at a ring, if he's only getting offers from the Browns for example why would he put himself through another season?

So, just because a guy refuses to take a massive pay cut to play one more season in which a serious injury could occur he suddenly doesn't love the game? What indication in the last twelve seasons that he has been a Viking has made you come to that conclusion? Kevin was nothing short of a great teammate and classy player during his tenure here.

I have a hard time believing that if you were in Kevin's shoes you would take a massive pay cut to play one more season. I don't blame him one bit for trying to make as much money as possible. I don't blame him for deciding that one more year with a reduced salary may not be worth it. Seattle is not guaranteed a Super Bowl title. The Giants are long-shots for a Super Bowl title this season. The guy wants fair compensation, but it sounds like he is ready to retire as well. I wish him nothing but the best regardless of what choice he pursues.

Joe Webb confirmed the Panthers are using him as a quarterback.

Webb spent last season as a seldom-used wide receiver for the Vikings, catching five passes for 33 yards. Now in Carolina, he's sharing spring reps with Derek Anderson as Cam Newton rehabs from ankle surgery. They could end up battling for one roster spot at training camp.
