Have you listened to the guy speak? His interviews? He isn't a rocket surgeon...You literally have ZERO backing that Peterson is a "meat head" and where you are even coming up with that is beyond me.

Don't know what Demi has done. But I have a 4 year degree, spent 22 years in the military, have started 3 business's and have 4 people working for me. Now I don't make 12 million a year. But if that's how you want to rate success go for it. I'll put up my experience against someone who plays a "game" any day of the week. Let's see what he does when he actually has to work for a living.Purple bruise wrote: Four year degree from Oklahoma and makes 12 million a year and what have you accomplished
BTW, not sure if he every finished his degree since he left after his junior year.

Demi, as usual was ridiculing a Viking, this time AD, and questioning his intelligence.
Congratulations sounds like you have accomplished a lot.

Well, considering Peterson was supposed be going to school under a "communications" major, Demi has a point.

Correct, punters get cut all the time in the NFL, but if one is backing gay rights at the time, oh no don't cut him it might make you look bad. He's a punter big deal, if Patterson comes out tomorrow in support of the same issue, I bet he doesn't get cut.Pondering Her Percy wrote: You literally have ZERO backing that Peterson is a "meat head" and where you are even coming up with that is beyond me. And yes Kluwe is an idiot. He's a guy that could never keep his mouth shut and strived for attention. He got cut from one team and then couldn't make it on another team so obviously his play wasn't good enough anymore. I will never believe that the reason the Vikings let him go was because of his support of gay rights. He wasn't a good punter....bottom line. Enough is enough.

Good point!! Kluwe will never admit that his play was below average and since, at the time he was cut, he was voicing his opinions about gay rights, then he will take that excuse to his grave and always say that was the reason he was let go. This is the exact reason I can't stand the guy. If he went to another team and was lighting it up, then maybe I would question it a bit but since he was cut right away, I will never buy his lame excuses. He's an idiot that can't deal with reality. Period.PurpleHalo wrote: Correct, punters get cut all the time in the NFL, but if one is backing gay rights at the time, oh no don't cut him it might make you look bad. Re: Kluwe rips Frazier, Spielman, Priefer
His play was about average in the league (and lin-line with his career averages, which are still the best in Vikings history), and this was after Priffer allegedly told him to dial back his distance to give the coverage team a better chance at getting down the field. His alleged exact words were: "Chris, we need you to kick it higher and shorter, because our coverage team sucks. We need to force fair catches as much as possible." There was very little (if any) evidence that his on-field performance suffered any noticeable decline. So, then, what changed?Pondering Her Percy wrote:Good point!! I can't find anything saying AP graduated with anything.
I don't think they'd cut Patterson if he became a big supporter of same sex marriage, but it would be interesting to see how things would turn out i.e. him just moving WR and not returning kicks anymore.

Pull yr 84 jerseys out.

Ummm yeah, Oklahoma didn't exactly recruit Peterson for his academic prowess. Just sayin. Oh and how bout this accomplishment, he sure has knocked up a lot of women across the country. It's like he's a superhero. I'm gonna call him single mother man. Nobody creates singles mothers faster than Adrian Peterson. Oh except maybe Antonio Cromartie, but give him a few years and maybe he'll catch him too.Purple bruise wrote:Four year degree from Oklahoma and makes 12 million a year and what have you accomplished

It was mildly ammusing at first, but now ur 'negativity' is bordering on trolling. You don't have to disagree with everything just because you can.

How about he established the All Day Foundation in 2008 to raise awareness and funds for programs that inspire hope and build a better future for at-risk-children.
How about he teamed up with Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher’s DNA Foundation to create Football For Good, which works to support both causes, assisting at-risk youth as well as fighting child trafficking.
How about he has been selected as a recipient of the “Emerging Leader” Award for his volunteer work with Special Olympics Minnesota.
How about pledging $1 million to the University of Oklahoma in support of student-athletes, donating $50,000 to Team Rubicon's Hurricane Sandy relief efforts and providing Thanksgiving meals to 400 families in Palestine, Texas.
How about helping to create a new app called the Giving Assistant that directs funds raised while shopping online to support programs for youth.
How about making mission trips for the Starkey Hearing Founding delivering hearing devices to the people of Uganda and Rwanda.
Is he perfect? No. Last I checked, he never claimed to be. But he does an awful lot of good in addition to being one of the best football players on the planet (that also happens to be on "our" team). He could easily be a Percy Harvin, Terrell Owens, Randy Moss, but he's as professional and straight-laced as they come (from an NFL prospective anyway).
The phrase, " "He who is without sin among you, let him be the first to throw a stone" comes to mind.
You must have a very good view way up there on your high horse. I imagine it's quite easy to judge all us lesser peasants who scurry about beneath you.
