Check out Bengals .com , they are pretty well convinced that Zimmer is leaving for Minnesota, the sentiment on their site is that many wish he would stay and become the next head coach of the Bengals.

I never realized or have forgotten that Zimmer is a Parcells guy. Which all makes perfect sense to me now. The Wilf's love Bill Parcells and were rumored to be offering a blank check for him to come run this team, were they not? Not to take anything away from Spielman, because Zimmer is deserving, but perhaps Zygi pointed Ricky in the right direction.
Funny how a show like Hard Knock's can influence a fans perspective one way or the other. Without having seen this past season, I simply would be going off of stats and the reaction of Bengals fans. Good stuff

Drove by the Dome today on my way to work.... construction appears to be well underway!

I certainly hope that "being interested in the job" is in the top 1 or 2 of Rick's 13 Things To Look For in a Head Coach.

There is a LOT to be said for really wanting the job in the first place.

I'm not clear, has Norv Turner been let go in Cleveland? Has he been hired elsewhere?

He hasn't been hired elsewhere. I'm not sure if he's officially been let go by the Browns or not. I read that he was "essentially" out but I don't know if that's official or not.

Cleveland fired all their coaches. That is why Horton and Turner are available as well as the Chud.

1) no stadium for 2 years, 2) no Q/B for ???? 3) no defense 4) playing outside in MN...........plus I suspect some of the candidates may turn the job down if they cant have the coordinators they want. The 2nd interview is the fall back option in case that happens.
Sorry, but if you don't want a HEAD COACHING gig with an NFL team because they're playing outdoors for a couple of years... I don't want you coaching.

According to ESPN Radio, Vikings would like to wait for Dan Quinn to be free but don't want to risk losing Zimmer. They believe Vikings will hire Zimmer as head coach today and he will look to hire Scott Linehan as his OC and the Bengals DLine coach will come with him as DC.

After reading all the articles with how much holding/PI Seattle's defense gets away with...I'm not totally sold. They have monster talent and we don't.

I'd be pretty underwhelmed with Linehan.

i haven't read anything about zimmer being on the browns radar, so why not wait to interview another candidate if zimmer will still be there? seattle's defense is no joke and most of that secondary were late round draft picks.
