Well lets see......A head coach is llike a Q/B. Both are supposed to be leaders of their team. Probably THE MOST IMPORTANT additions a GM can add to a team. Spielman himself has admitted that his track record in picking Q/B's has been terrible. His one and only involvement in selecting a head coach was Frazier in 2010 after they fired Childress and that choice was all most as bad as Ponder. But your right, he does not have a long track record but the record he does have sucks and when you compare that with what he did to Miami (I dont care how long ago it was) it does create a basis with which to draw an opinion and IMO Spielman could'nt pick a good leader if he jumped on his chest.

I still disagree. He's going through this process very carefully just like he said he is going to do with the QB situation this offseason. I believe he will correct his mistakes but I'll save the Spielman talk for the appropriate thread.

Spielman better not miss out on Zimmer waiting for second interviews with the 2 clowns in Seattle.

We already fired Bevell once as OC, why would they want him as coach? Plus there's the stench of Childress.

(Plus if we hire Bevell there's a good chance he brings T-Jack with him as the backup )

And Quinn has been a coordinator for one year and the defense is nearly identical to how it was with Bradley last year. That scares me and tells me its more so the talent and Pete Carroll make that D good than who the coordinator is.

I want Zimmer or Horton. I'd be fine with Roman.

I'm not a Bowels guy and as I said don't want either of the Seattle guys or Adam Gase who's just riding Manning's coattails.

We are in agreement. Esp. about Bowels. Hes kind of like Fraizer 2.0. Zimmer Horton or Roman would suit me just fine.

The Texans have hired Bill O'Brien and the Redskins have hired Jay Gruden. The Vikings, Lions, Browns and Titans are still looking.

The Vikings interviewed Seattle offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell and Seahawks defensive coordinator Dan Quinn over the weekend. They talked to Arizona Cardinals defensive coordinator Todd Bowles on Monday and Cleveland Browns defensive coordinator Ray Horton on Tuesday. They interviewed Bengals defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer on Wednesday.

They have requested interviews with San Francisco 49ers offensive coordinator Greg Roman, San Diego Chargers offensive coordinator Ken Whisenhunt, Denver Broncos offensive coordinator Adam Gase and Broncos defensive coordinator Jack Del Rio.
